Poor incident management, despite availability: when helping the client is not a priority
Our experience in the cabins has been very negative, mainly because of the total unwillingness to help in the face of human error.
We are wrong on the date of booking, something we assumed from the very beginning, and we know perfectly well the cancellation policies. The reservation had been made the previous day, the property had ample availability and we were willing to take a penalty of up to 50%. Still, there was no real attempt to find a solution. The only “alternative” offered was to repay the entire room, making us believe that it was a discount when in fact it was exactly the same price already paid.
Each establishment can choose how to handle this type of situation: help a customer who makes a one-off mistake or simply apply rules without any flexibility, even when the economic damage is minimal. In this case, they clearly chose not to help.
In any business, and especially in hospitality, customer service and empathy make a difference in the long term.
Finally, we had to look for another hotel as an alternative, where we were treated with kindness and understanding.
Finally, and independently of the above, during the time we were there the facilities were not particularly attractive, and this establishment is among the few in the area that does not have sun loungers or chairs on the beach, whose area is also unusable.
I wish them luck in the future and hopefully at some point they will understand the importance of helping customers in particular and people in general.

Gabriel, lamentamos que no haya tenido la experiencia de haberse hospedado en nuestro alojamiento. Recibimos su reserva mediante booking.com para el día Domingo, mantuvimos guardada su habitación como corresponde, apartándola de todos los medios de reserva y rechazando otras consultas ya que el alojamiento se encontraba COMPLETO. Somos un alojamiento pequeño donde cada habitación y cada noche cuenta y mucho para el funcionamiento laboral.
Se les espero todo el día, no llegaron y el recepcionista nocturno quedo pendiente para recibirles si llegaban tarde. Al dia siguiente se recibe el informe de la noche indicando que no llegaron y se procede a marcar la reserva en la plataforma como no presentado y se aplican las políticas correspondientes, las cuales usted aceptó al realizar su reserva.
Luego nos contacta por teléfono indicando que se había confundido de fecha que quería llegar el día Lunes. En todo momento fuimos muy amables, le transmitimos nuestra preocupación y que nos lamentábamos mucho que se hubiera confundido de fecha, pero como alojamiento con gastos, sueldos y demás, no es posible dejarles gratis la noche del lunes como solicitaban.
Reiteramos que lamentamos que se haya confundido, pero nosotros no podemos salir perjudicados por un error ajeno. Si se le ofreció quedarse la noche del lunes con un buen descuento, quedándole la habitación muy económica, a modo de excepción, el cual usted no acepto ya que exigía un descuento de al menos un 50% lo cual no era viable.
Las cabañas están ubicadas en una de las mejores ubicaciones de la zona hotelera, entre tres de los mejores y mas famosos Restaurantes con club de playa de Mahahual, nuestros huéspedes tienen bicicletas, mascaras de snorkel, descuentos en Tour de snorkel por lo que lamentamos que no haya tenido la experiencia de haberse hospedado en nuestro alojamiento.
Con mas de 8 años como hotel en Mahahual nuestro mayor compromiso es que nuestros huéspedes tengan una estadía maravillosa e inolvidable.
Le deseamos una excelente estadía en Mahahual y que disfruten de este paraíso del caribe mexicano!

Nice cabanas with ocean view. Eco friendly cabanas. Very simple if you looking for Hilton you need dismiss the property.

The best eco cabins in Mahahual, a quiet and comfortable rustic place to rest, clean place and incredible attention, super soft beds, air conditioning working and facing the sea, they recommended us to snorkel with the company ZonadeSnorkelMahahual and everything was very cool
