Nice hotel, warm service
I stayed last August with my husband in the Real del Sol. It was a nice stay. The room was very clean and we had view of the pool, which we used after a hot day wondering though downtown.
The staff was very warm, the owner or manager was very friendly with us, she even cooked for us dinner at the time the restaurant was closed. For breakfast we tried the mexican 'chilaquiles' which were spicy but delicious.
The only downside of the hotel is that it not located in the heart of downtown, so we had to take a 10 minute walk to get to the main attractions. But since the price was very good for Cuernavaca, we cannot complaint too much about its location.

Upon my arrival there was no one at reception

The beds are very hard
There was a coffee maker in my room but it was very dirty and old, so I didn't want to use it.
We tried to turn on the air conditioning with the control and the switch but it did not turn on and the staff (a 50-year-old man upstairs) reluctantly went up to solve the problem, throwing away the mattress, neglecting the bed to climb on the furniture and turn it on.

Convenient location, nice and clean
This hotel is very conveniently situated if you want to go downtown on foot. The room was clean and confortable, the beds were awesome. Also, the pool was very clean. The only negative point was the fact that certains employees at the reception were rude and reluctant to give us the service we were allowed to receive. Moreover, as we reserved with Booking.com, our breakfasts were included...we had to fight the first morning to get them free.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL
We stayed at this hotel once, reserving with bookings.com . We got a room with king bed at $70 with breakfast...... a very meager buffet.
When leaving we asked the receptionist if it was OK for us to reserve by phone on the day we wanted to stay the next time. she said yes . She confirmed conditions would be the same .
We called two weeks later to reserve a king room . They said OK. We arrived and were told all king rooms were taken...Since it was late , we had to accept two single beds.
Plus the cost was $20 more than booking on the internet !
In the morning we went down to breakfast...most had been finished by 10AM , so we had very little to eat.
When checking out , they told us that we had to pay the breakfast extra, at $10 each.
They said that only reserving via internet does a person get $70 a room with breakfast included. If direct by phone , the rooms were $20 more plus breakfast extra.
We left a note for the Manager ( who was not there of course ).
We will never return to this hotel. Its a dump.

Bueno, Bonito y Barato, peroooo...
Bueno, bonito y barato, solo que el servicio de recepción es pésimo, la mayoría del personal tienen jeta de cvlo todo el tiempo y te atienden como haciéndote un favor, me negaron 2 botellas de agua de cortesía y tuve que pagar x ellas 37MXN, no es la cantidad si no el detalle y los tratos los que hacen al lugar .
