Beautiful place, dodgy service
When you walk through the door it is like entering another dimension, the place is spectacular, the rooms are nice, simple, the breakfast is tasty and rich, thanks to those who prepare breakfasts.
The bad:
The receptionists do not speak Spanish, I went with my family and the first thing they ask you is that if you speak English, not if it is a place focused more for foreigners but at least they should try to learn Spanish if they are going to work in a place like Izamal, have so much respect.
The receptionist is friendly but it is very rare when we pay in cash her eyes almost pop out as if she could not wait to take the money, the barefoot girl, it seems that she is a spiritual being and does not wear shoes, seriously nor the locals dare so much.
When you leave or enter he asks you things and I understand the kindness but he is very forced and especially that he can not speak Spanish.
When we arrived we saw some fruit trees and asked him what fruits they were and he doesn’t have the slightest idea, (he doesn’t know anything about the place) he told us that we could hire a guide to explain the city and the fruits that can be eaten , “serious? tantita mother.
The rooms are nice but there is no TV and not a little table, not a closet in our room, we had to put our things on the floor, they do not clean or help you fill the bathroom paper, you can not throw the paper in the toilet but they do not take the trash, there is the bathroom smelling very bad the whole room, they do not change your towels and apart they are old and fibrous, the water of the shower comes out and the bathroom ends everything wet, whenever I went in I was slipping.
In another room there was TV but he told us we had no right to use it because it belonged to the owner.
Summary; beautiful place, dodgy service and low average.
Recommendation; foreign receptionists unless they try a little to know a little about the culture and what surrounds them in this beautiful place, it cannot be possible that they feel spiritual beings for being here and they can not even name a fruit.
