A pleasant stay in Merida
This is a very quiet, clean and welcoming hotel very close to the centre of Merida and just a blocks walk from the bus terminal. The rooms are spacious and airy and have everything a traveller could need to ensure a good nights sleep. There is piping hot water, if needed in the Merida heat, and a fan or aircon provides a cooler temperature when required. Hotel staff at reception are very obliging and always on hand to assist.
Good reasonably priced food is available round the corner and Merida's main plaza is just a 10 minute walk away. I will stay here again on a future visit.

pros:
- has some public space and parking at the back
- cleaning staff were friendly
- near the bus station
cons:
- not much in the immediate area by way of amenities but still a lot of road noise
- very basic even for this price level: no water, no fridge, no shampoo
- bright light on air conditioning unit meant the room wasn't dark even with all lights switched off (and, separately, the light switches weren't all very responsive anyway)
- cleanish but not sparkling clean: I had some ants in my room and the poor bed design makes it hard to clean under them without moving them - I could see a lot of dust on the floor there.
For a night or maybe two it's fine, for a longer stay I'd go elsewhere next time at the same price (as indeed I did on this trip rather than extend my stay).

Great location but this is a very budget option
We stayed here one night before driving to the airport to catch a flight out of Merida. The location was good for walking to the plaza. The room was odd (big step up into the bathroom, which was not handy in the middle of the night) and the beds were the hardest I've ever slept on, but overall it was pretty clean and definitely cheap. The front desk staff was kind and helpful and we needed the parking, which was a pretty spacious lot compared to others.

Very Basic, Clean, Major Bus Route
This hotel is clean and inexpensive other than that I have very little good to say about it. If price is of prime importance then this is a great place. The amenities include nice towels and a bar of soap. There are no glasses or bottled water, the beds are very firm and the place is on two major bus routes and the buses run most of the night. The staff speaks no English and this part of town has nothing in it except for a lot of florists and funeral parlors. If I were to visit Merida again I would try and stay in the north end of town where there seems to be some life.

Desperately needs a deep clean
On a good note: it had free drinking water, our room had a ceiling fan, fly screen, its located pretty centric and the staff is very nice.
Is close to the ADO st. And They kept our bags safe after check out until our bus was about to leave.
On a bad note: we were never informed that the hotel was under renovations prior to the booking and as a result we were woken up every morning at 8 am including sunday with banging noises ( and our room did not have glass windows).
Also it was in desperate need of a clean, extremely dusty on the floors and everywhere, no shower curtain so our bathroom floor was completely wet after a shower, wifi does not reach all areas, our tv controller didnt work from the bed (we had to stand in front of the tv in order to use it), and i killed 2 cockroaches in our room.
