Barely real. Shocking "hotel". Avoid!

So we needed a cheap room for the night while we waited for some friends to return to the city. No frills, pet friendly and cheap. Found this place online and for $20 a night reserved a room. We walked to the location and upon reaching the street noticed the hostel had no sign. We proceeded to ring the bell anyway for no.21 (as listed on the booking).
A few minutes later a man emerged. I told him we have a reservation and is this the hotel? He said "No. Theres no hotel here". Then said wait one minute. He came back with another man who said "not possible" and then shut the door on us. Confused and wondering if we had the wrong address we walked up the street and asked a man who confirmed this was the correct address but he had no idea if it was a hotel.
We walked to a pay phone. Number doesnt work. Walked back and rang the bell again. No answer. We managed to read a sign through the door which mentioned the hostel name. Realising this has to be it we hammered on the door and rang the bell. Finally a man emerged and again said this was not the hotel, then he blocked the sign when I tried to point it out. He left the door open and just walked off. We entered to the dive that was the hostel reception.
We shouted, rang the bell, knocked the doors...nobody answered (we could head people though). Finally as we were about to leave a young couple entered from the street. They asked if we were here for the hostel. I said yes and gave them my details. They claimed they had no rooms left. Then they said they had a single "chica" room.
I said we would take it (just wanted to sleep damnit!). He then claimed we had to pay extra because it was two of us in the room. I said not a chance and he went to "speak to his manager" who was in the back room the whole time! About ten minutes later he came out and said no and that we couldnt stay with the dog either. Pretty enraged I showed the booking.com page and said they were liars and went against everything. They claimed we could stay tomorrow. I told them where to go and walked off. We did steal their WiFi however to book a room at Parque Via which is much nicer!
Please avoid this crack dive at all costs. Hopefully it gets removed from Booking.com
