Unforgettable experience. A special place.
What an amazing hotel! We loved everything about it. The staff was attentive and kind. They all seemed to love working there. The rooms were cozy and clean. A great shower! The breakfast includes several specialty dishes. We had some drinks and snacks which were delicious and reasonably priced. The hotel is a bit higher priced but worth it. It is conveniently located just a few blocks from the heart of Oaxaca old town.

Best Stay 10/10
My husband and I stayed at El Callejon for 7 nights and it was truly one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had. The hospitality was exceptional. Every member of the staff made us feel genuinely welcome and well cared for throughout our stay. The location was perfect. It was just a 10–15 minute walk from the heart of downtown Oaxaca, yet tucked away enough that coming back to the hotel was like a peaceful oasis after a day of exploring. Our room was impeccably clean every day, and we especially appreciated the thoughtful turndown service. It's the little details that made our stay feel so special. A special thank you to April and Javier, who went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. If we ever come back to Oaxaca, we're definitely staying here again. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Oaxaca.

Wonderful experience.
Location is fabulous an oasis of calm, close enough to Oaxaca's main attractions for easy walks (20-25 minutes max) and bars and restaurants 5-10 minutes away. But far enough away not to have the hustle and bustling centre impacting your sleep.

Wonderful boutique hotel
This is a quiet, charming hotel with friendly staff in a quiet part of Oaxaca that is not far from El Centro. The rooms were wonderful. The staff were helpful in booking restaurants and tours during our stay.

We only stayed one night but the staff were so professional and caring.
We arrived at 7am from the overnight bus and staff allowed us to use an empty room to shower and change before we went out on our tour.
The next day we had an early start and we were provided with a packed breakfast/lunch as we had to leave before breakfast started. We checked out and left our bags at the hotel until late that evening. Upon our return staff once again allowed us to use an empty room while we waited for our night bus to take us back to Mexico City.
