Excellent posada in the center of Oaxaca

We stayed 3 nights in this posada. The stay had not started well since we were given a very large room on the ground floor on the street. Unable to open the window and especially unacceptable noise. We complained; unfortunately the hotel was full the first night and they changed our room for the following two nights. The new room on the first floor with a balcony on the pedestrian street (Alcala) was of a different category. To the first room I give a dot; to the second 4 dots. Breakfast average but slightly higher quality than other posade, where we stayed. Also convenient is the travel agency integrated into the hotel with which we made the day trip hierve el agua.

attentive and very helpfull staff... well maintained (looks new) all around. spacious rooms. the breakfast hibrid: pain au chocolate combined with mexican Concha is amazing.

Could not ask for a better location. big rooms very clean and well maintained. The in house baked pain au chocolate/concha ..for brekfast super!!!!.. the staff very accomadating and helpfull.. def. a place to book again and again. ( Family vacation ).

Delicious breakfast, kind and welcoming staff, and the pool is such a game changer when visiting warm and lovely Oaxaca. The location can't be beat, which might mean some parades passing under your window in the late afternoon, but that's why you're in Oaxaca anyway!

Comfortable, Modern Hotel with excellent Breakfast choices.

We had a wonderful and quiet stay at Parador de Alcalá. The room and bathroom were modern, the beds were very comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. Portions were generous, fresh, and delicious. Note: We had to request smaller portions after day 2.
We requested a quiet room before arrival and were assigned an interior room without windows, which was perfect after long days of sightseeing. Keep in mind that rooms facing the street may experience some traffic noise, so I recommend requesting an interior room if you’re a light sleeper.
