Excellent, I would undoubtedly return to stay.

A magical stay.. cleanliness 10, service 10; pool 10, rooms 10, room comfort 10, we had a small issue with the bathroom lamp but it was fixed immediately by hotel staff.
Air conditioning 10, furniture 10, complimentary coffee every day, complimentary water bottles every day, restaurant food is not a good choice, going down to the center is ideal.
Something I loved is that the whole room is carpeted, except for the bathroom, logically!

Poor hotel with a good view

I stayed here for 8 nights in the end - wanted a change of scenery from the grimness so headed to the coast.
I booked this place really for the pool - heater has been broken for months / maybe years and that really describes the place - worn down and kinda grim.
I also thought on the map that it was just outside the Centro by crossing a river …. Wrong that river is a busy highway making driving into Centro a pain and lots of road noise from below.
The room was tired with threadbare carpet and no power outlets by the bed - had to run an extension from behind the second bed ….. both queen-size in a king size room ?
No fridge in the room and couldn’t be provided, same for a kettle.
Decor was old and stained with questionable electrics but with a very good shower in the bathroom, really the only redeeming feature.
It strikes me as a bus tour kind of hotel that has given up trying to remain current or relevant - do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere, Centro is stunning with lots of great choices.
I left early and forfeited two nights but was glad I did

Improve the rooms

The standard room we were assigned did not have good ventilation, since the screen was broken and did not allow opening the window, the room always smelled of humidity, restaurant prices were high, poor organization for the buffet.

My parents were left speechless by the beauty of this hotel on their 54th wedding anniversary. The landscape, the view, and their room were all breathtaking. The customer service was also exceptional. Their commute to and from the hotel to the city was convenient and affordable. I highly recommend this hotel for a beautiful getaway.

Bad place for people who do not want stairs

The hotel has an excellent location, however the reception staff is arrogant and without a smile, the parking spaces are poorly designed and insufficient, if you have knee problems or are over 60 years old, be careful with this hotel, because since it is on a hillside, everything is going up or down steep slopes, the rooms require you to go up and down countless stairs. In the central building there are five floors from the pool to the top floor, you have to be an athlete to manage it. The rooms are tired and without an eye for detail, the desk is too high to use as a desk and does not have outlets to plug in the computer, there are not enough places to put the suitcases, the pillows are high and hard, the windows are very difficult to open, the bedside lamps are difficult to turn on (the switch is behind the nightstand and it is difficult to locate it). The good-sized bathroom does not have a handheld shower, although it has a tub. Excellent soap! It is a nice hotel but the price seems excessive to me, although in Oaxaca it is average.

Very good location
