Uniquely brilliant

A wonderful enchanting hotel with superb staff, delightful rooms, extraordinary decor and great communal areas, all in a perfect location. The top floor rooms afford easy access to a sunny roof terrace. There is a semi-tame cacomixtle you may catch site of around the bar in the evenings - the most charming and unique addition to a special place.

Characterful boutique hotel, friendly staff

I stayed at the Hotel Posada XVII for 5 nights and was delighted with my decision to stay there. It is a small, characterful hotel located within walking distance of the city's attractions. My room was large and very charming. The owner, Christina, and Marian spoke good English and were friendly and very helpful. Views from the rooftop terrace were limited but if you go there early in the morning you get a fantastic view of the smoking volcano! Breakfasts were great and generous in portions. I would happily recommend this hotel to people visiting Puebla.

Great hosts in a hotel with atmosphere

The property is a restored convent and is decorated with original religious objects as well as the owner’s antique/memorabilia collection. Rooms were a good size, bathroom was huge and there was a nice courtyard, rooftop and little bar area to relax in. Maryanne and Cristina were great hosts and the hotel was only a short walk to the main square and bars/restaurants. If you’re there on a Monday night the Wrestling Arena was directly across the road.

Wonderful boutique hotel

This lovely boutique hotel in a 17th century building is just wonderful. Every room is filled with amazing antique furnishings. I loved the location, a few blocks away from the tourist bustle of the Zocalo, but only a 10 minute walk along interesting streets to get there.
I stayed in the Lavaderos room on the ground floor, with a lovely small patio to enjoy morning coffee with privacy. Beautiful tiled bathroom and good wifi.
The staff is warm and friendly. Marian was particularly helpful, speaking perfect English when my fledgeling Spanish faltered. Breakfast in the morning was a delight- omelets if you prefer or Mexican specialties. Included are fruit and local breads.
I will gladly return on my next visit to Puebla.

SPECTACULAR!!
It is a place to enter another era.
The house itself is a museum.
Excellent location in the center but without noise.
Breakfast, very complete and exquisite!
Unmatched attention.
The beds are very comfortable and everything is impeccable.
