Check in was very fast, missed the welcome drink though as it was not offered. Received an upgrade in the room for a very spacious suite with beautiful views. We booked the Preferred Club as we had stayed previously in other Dreams resorts and is necessary. We had a designated area in an adult pool restricted to prefer club. Outside this area it was VERY crowded. The beach is not that big, but good enough to enjoy the sound of the waves and a good walk. A la carte restaurants, food was good but very slow, having to wait for an hour for the food. Service was great. I wanted to mention our waiter Allan, in Oceana. Not only he gave us great recommendation for food but went beyond giving us a great explanation/teaching about Mezcal, I also wanted to recognize Damian, who was in charge of the pool area. Despite all the physical work in very hot conditions, he was always doing so with a big smile in his face and making sure everyone had what we needed for a great experience.

I traveled with my 74 year old mother and my sister's family (3 kids under 13). We had a blast! What we liked, although being all-inclusive, everything else was reasonably priced (e.g. spa treatments and upgraded wine). What we didn't like, some rooms (including ours) have a timer on the AC and not enough employees (e.g. longer lines for food and time to get drinks by the pool).

The resort overall was great. the staff all being on the same page would be nice. People were down by the pool reserving all the pool chairs at 6:30am. Staff worked to find spots to add more chairs but it was difficult. They should be better about removing stuff of unoccupied chairs and not allow to reserve for people are evening sitting.

Let me start saying the staff is amazing, everybody is very kind, friendly and helpful. But the resort needs some improvements. I don’t know if it was overbooked, or if it is usually like this, but unless you get some towels and benches at the start of the day, it is very difficult to find any for the pool area, everybody just grabs them and keep them for the whole day, even if they not gonna use them, is the same for for the floating donuts for the lazy river or slides, people just hang onto those things. Staff should have a rule of use it and let it on a place to be used for the next guest. It was like this for our whole stay. Also, don’t bother to upgrade into the Privilege Club, it’s not worth it at all, yes you have an exclusive luounge, and a kind of one exclusive restaurant for Breakfast and Lunch a la carte, but the food they serve, it’s the exact same you get at the buffet, or room service, even the drinks and liquor it’s almost the same. You have a little better booze but only on the Privilege Lounge, trust me it’s not worth the extra money, you don’t get any perks that make it worth it, not even better seats on restaurants or shows, it’s all the same for everyone else. Even the Privilege Check in, is just two counters, and those are the same counters that are for the concierge, so they are always full for guest who have questions and requests. It’s a nice Hotel, we love that it was not huge, you don’t take much time to go from point A to B.
