Casa Tequio is another gem of San Cristóbal. Esperanza is wonderful and generous, she makes her guests feel at home. Their volunteer Celine was super helpful and loved. The breakfasts are amazing. The stay was very happy. Absolutely recommended

Fantastic place

Esperanza, facundo and alfredo are 3 great personalities.
Casa tequio is the best place to be in San cristobal if you want to feel at home with very comfy quiete and clean rooms . Add to that a beautiful breakfast and a smiley place.

Amazing Hospitality in beautiful hostel

We only stayed for one night here, but loved every moment of it. Esperanza our host was extremely helpful throughout our stay, from looking after our bags before check in and check out , to making sure we had eaten enough for breakfast. Her team of helpers were very friendly too and her new manager, whose name escapes me, spoke fluent english. The breakfast was delicious as we had chilequiles and scrambled eggs, along with coffee and toast with homemade marmalade. The room was comfortable and we enjoyed a great nights sleep, aided also by the fact that the hostel is in a quiet area around 10min walk from the main part of town.

The most perfect place to stay in San Cristobal

Where to start? From A to Z did the Casa Tequio exceed our expectations.
The building itself is really pretty with a nice patio. Every room is clean, quiet, well maintained and decorated. There is a salon with open fire, netflix and board games. The staff is incredibly nice and available. The breakfast is amazing with almost only home made products (oh my god the guayaba mermelada!). They brew their own beer: we tried the IPA and it was delicious.
We've been travelling for 9 months now and it's definitely one of the best (if not the best) hostel we stayed at.

Fantastic calm place feels like home

Great service and a beautiful building, particularly liked the log fires in the common area and the clean cozy rooms. Delicious breakfasts for 50 pesos and even a craft beer brewery on site and discounts on the beers!
