Dismal attention from the owner who was high!
the rooms and facilities very dirty, the staff very bad and the owner worse! Very rude, the owner instead of taking action on the matter started yelling at me about things, had red eyes, something had gone in but it is inconceivable that in that state he is attending to his customers. If you want to have a nice time, do not go to this place!

Perfect vacations at alicat villas
We absolutely loved our stay here. The king size bed was comfortable and had very nice, clean white sheets. The air conditioning worked well and the water pressure was awesome . The room feels very spacious with high ceilings and evrything is wood with hand carved furniture and beautiful interior design. It has lots of mirrors and hooks which was great. There was plenty of space to do morning yoga in the room as well. The fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed and we used it every morning for breakfast that we ate on our large private terrace . There are hanging plants everywhere with a wall of vines along the entrance walkway. It really makes it feel like you are in the jungle and amongst nature. The pool was spotless and crystal clean and was great to cool off after a day out.The location is in the heart of La Veleta which is trendy suburb of Tulum which a variety of excellent local restaurants, bars , street food and fashion store all in walking distance. There is even a grocery store literally next door where you can get water , alcohol snacks and basic vegetables. It was very convenient. It is also only an easy 15 mins to get to the beach by car and 25 mins by bicycle . There were two adorable cats that lived on the property that greeted us at the entry. The host was very responsive and helpful. They have an extensive list of local recommendations for restaurants, cenotes , etc. There are lots of airbnbs to pick from in the area, but this one has a much homier feel and the host is kind and attentive. Highly recommend staying at Alicat Villas!

Hidden Gem
We just got back from my bachelorette at Alicat Villas and none of us wanted to leave! The house is amazing and the layout is perfect for having fun and hanging out with a bunch of people. We could easily walk into town about 10-15 minutes away but there were also taxis to everywhere else you could want to go. Alistair is in constant contact from the moment of booking. He helped us figure out shuttles as well as a variety of activities to do in the area including restaurant recommendations and day outings. Would definitely 10/10 recommend this place for a large group!
The villas were clean and beautifully decorated. The wooden oasis really makes one feel like they’ve gone glamping in the best of accommodations. ACs are powerful and made for the most comfortable sleeping environment, the rooms are furnished with curtains that will make the villas feel like cool, dark caves, which is wonderful after you’ve been up till the wee hours with friends and need a little shuteye. A lovely cleaning lady came by twice while we were there and we needed for nothing.
This air bnb is such a gem, and great for big parties. We booked this air bnb for my friends bachelorette and we couldn’t be more happy with the location. We had 8 girls and each of us had our own bed so this place can definitely hold big groups. The house was so aesthetic and beautiful. Alistair is a wonderful host and really cares about his guests experience. He gave us a lot of important information and helped us arrange taxis each time we wanted to venture out into the tulum hotel zone. The location is ideal for those who want to visit the tulum town, there is so much to see and do there. The house feels very safe and I felt right at home in the neighborhood. Can not wait to come back and visit this gem again
Alicat Villas are EXACTLY as pictured, beautiful. Everything about our stay was magical. Alistair communicated well ahead of the trip with helpful tips and offered to assist with coordinating activities, catering, and transportation. With regards to transportation he also saved the day by organizing a last minute taxi for two friends who’s airport shuttle never arrived. Alistair made coordinating a large group easy on me so I could focus on enjoying the wonders of Tulum with my guests. The woman who comes to clean the house, Azucena, is thorough, respectful, and a delight. The fresh baby kittens were an extra perk.
We needed a house for a bachelorette party and this was the perfect place! All the girls loved the house and the pool in the center with the waterfall added a great touch for lounging and getting great pictures. We had so much fun! Alistair was a great host and helped answer all our questions as we planned our trip and during our stay. I’d highly recommend to other large groups traveling to Tulum!

Alistair was GREAT. He gave us such a thorough introduction to the place, made lots of suggestions as to tourist spots, restaurants, etc. and was available immediately if we needed him. The place is beautiful! We rented the whole unit and had it to ourselves. The neighborhood was safe, the people were friendly and Alistair had bicycles available in case we wanted to take a ride. The location is awesome. I’d suggest a car for the beach and other tourist sites but you can walk 10 min or les to LOTS of restaurants and shopping. This space was an amazing value and Alistair is AWESOME!
I highly enjoyed my stay at Alicat Villas! The design is beautiful and unique. The pool is a perfect touch to have during your stay. We spent a lot of time in it and had a blast. The owner of Alicat is extremely friendly and very helpful with recommendations in the area. It’s in a great area, quiet enough to have your own space but also close to the center and beach when you are wanting to get out. Another big note, it is hard to find rentals in Mexico that have warm showers with good pressure... the ones here are AMAZING! They are so great to have after a day at the beach or out in town!! The AC works brilliant! It’s very cool inside the rooms. Overall we had a wonderful experience. I would recommend them to anyone traveling in Tulum. I will definitely be coming back. Alicat Villas are just marvellous! I never thought I'd say this but... I fell in love with that shower. Ali had this new pump installed and it was just heaven. The inside of the villas is just so charming with its wooden interiors and comfy beds.
Alicat Villas is a great place to stay while in Tulum. The neighborhood is safe and the location is close to many tourist attractions. Alicat Villas are beautiful, the pool and waterfall are a plus. Alistair made sure we had everything we needed and was quick to respond to anything. This place is perfect for a large group, I really recommend.
The villa is spacious, super clean, has a good wifi and it's well-equipped kitchen to cook whatever you wish!
Ali's little villa is a beautiful paradise that he has obviously poured his heart into to make a lovely, welcoming, eco-friendly place for travelers to feel right at home with lots of amenities.
He supplied a lot ammenities at his place that were perfect for cooking. We loved the wooden touch and cozy environment

The place was a dream clean and very best of pie tulum jungle experience right next to a local shop and very near to town with bycycle hire.

Excellent getaway as a couple
I went with my partner and we loved the place, the super comfortable bed and the warm atmosphere, the fresh and spacious cabins make you feel at home and the kitchen had everything you need, we would definitely return to Alicat Villas.
