A Magical Eco-Paradise in the Heart of the Tulum Jungle!
If you are traveling to the Tulum area, The Yellow Nest is an absolute must-visit. It is an unforgettable place that completely immerses you into a truly special, magical world.
The hotel is nestled deep within the jungle, offering ultimate peace and privacy, yet it is within walking distance of stunning local cenotes. I absolutely fell in love with the gorgeous eco-design; everything is mindfully built using eco-friendly materials that blend seamlessly with the surrounding nature.
The dining experience was exceptional—the breakfasts were wonderful, and the dinners were equally amazing. But the ultimate highlight for me was the floating breakfast—a spectacular, picture-perfect experience that you cannot miss!
Beyond the beautiful property, the service here is magnificent. The staff is incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. We were also amazed by the wide range of complimentary experiences offered, including the traditional temazcal ceremony, deeply relaxing meditations, and rejuvenating yoga classes.
We cannot recommend this place enough and can't wait to come back!

Lovely Jungle Experience
The Yellow Nest is a lovely Jungle escape. We generally stay in luxury 5* resorts as a family… however as there was just the 2 of us; we decided to try something new - we were not disappointed…
STAFF:
They are so attentive and nothing is too much. A huge thank you to Arturo, Jorge, Sebastian, Josimar, Luis, Diego! The team and service adds so much to the stay.
FOOD:
We stayed on the half board - which was great. It included breakfast and dinner. The menu isn’t very wide in terms of options - but the quality of ingredients is high. I highly recommend the Tuna Sashimi, Salmon Sashimi and Fish Tacos! Delicious!
We did do the floating breakfast, we was lovely experience, it was nice sitting in the pool and enjoying breakfast. My only niggle is that, a lot of people come here on day passes - which is not an issue at all; however it’s the type of people coming that are creating move of a “loud pool party” vibe around the main pool which spoils the tranquil calm vibe of the place. My suggestion would be to keep the music level to a certain volume and the music choice to be more chill vibe rather than hip hop!
ROOM:
we had one of the larger villas with a pool. We didn’t use this pool much - but had it been slightly warmer we would have. There are comments about leaves in the pools - remember you are in a jungle! Literally in it - leaves fall all the time!!
Rooms are kept clean, it was super spacious with a comfortable bed! The hotel also provided us with mosquito cream in the room - which was appreciated as I forgot to pack some!
LOCATION:
The hotel itself is about 20 minutes from the main road. You have to drive down undeveloped roads - which for us was not an issue. We didn’t have a car - another couple staying did. The hotel staff will shuttle you to the main road; we picked up a collectivo which was very inexpensive to go to Tulum. Upon our return back, we would drop a text and be collected again. For us this was just all part of the advent and loved it.
There is so much to explore is Dos Ojos, with over 100 cenotes; we did one - it was unbelievable - highly recommend and horse riding through the jungle on Christmas Day with CDN Tours - located within Dos Ojos - super reasonable and a great experience.
GENERAL:
The grounds are kept clean and tidy all day everyday, it is a very special place.
Remember you are staying in the middle of a jungle… most of the staff live here; therefore be respectful of how you treat the space. There are only 20 rooms - we spent Christmas here and it was so quiet [we loved it].
I came to Tulum 10 years ago and it was very different! The town is so much busier and the beach zone has lost its natural chill vibe - it’s all about beach clubs. Although we love the beach, we are glad that we didn’t stay in the beach zone. That said, if we were to do it again, we would probably have booked half the stay at the Yellow Nest and the rest in Tulum Town.
Uber is not used in Tulum - there is another app however we managed to get the details of a private driver who I highly recommend - message for his details.

Excellent place to reset yourself.
2 spectacular pools, one open to the sun inspired by Mayan ruins and another more mystical, among the jungle with cenote water.
We opt for one of the luxury villas that has its private pool.
Superb service. We loved the temazcal experience with Luis Miguel, the restaurant service of the chefs, Arturo , Jorge, Jessica housekeeper. Everything was magical.
Super rich food, amazing place and superb staff. Thank you very much.
You have to be a nature lover to be able to enjoy the most, if a spider or a flying mantis occasionally scares you... you will not enjoy it. This is to connect with you and nature, really beautiful.

Nice disconnection
I had a very pleasant experience at Yellow Nest. Since I arrived, Miguel welcomed me, already waiting for me outside my car with a big smile, he was very attentive and friendly from the beginning. Soon I met Arthur, who energetically offered my welcome with great warmth. They both made sure they were watching me throughout my visit.
I really enjoyed the breakfast, the calm of the place, the silence and the special connection that you get from being there. It is a space that really invites you to disconnect from the outside noise.
I want to recognize especially Miguel’s skill and versatility in carrying out the different experiences offered by the hotel. From tuning fork therapy with Gaby, to guided meditation on temazcal, led by him, which helps you deeply disconnect and reconnect with yourself.
Thank you guys for your enthusiasm, your energy, your time and attention. They make one feel really special during the visit. You can tell they enjoy what they do and where they are, and that is conveyed in every detail.

It was very nice there, great restaurant, location with jungle feel, great cabins partly with private pool and air conditioning, super friendly team, wonderful pool, sweat lodge with spiritual approach, we would love to come back
