The perfect home away from home, and the best stay of our trip to Mexico.

Absolutely the best stay of our trip to Mexico! The room was spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. The hosts were wonderful, warm, welcoming, and so accommodating.
The homemade breakfast, prepared by our host's mother, was simply outstanding, the best we had in Mexico. It felt like a cooking class, and the food was so delicious I couldn't resist going back for seconds and thirds!
If you're staying in Valladolid, look no further than Hostel Casa Xtakay. It easily outshines many hotels. Highly recommended!

I wished I’d stayed longer!

I would give 10 stars to Hostel Casa Xtakay if I could! From the moment I stepped in the door, I felt so welcomed.
The location, rooms, and cleanliness are top-notch, but it’s the exceptional hospitality here that stands out for me. I have stayed in many hostels and home stays around the world… but hands down, here beats’em all.
As a solo female in a foreign country, the love, warmth, and care I received from Gaby and Luis made me feel so supported and not want to leave! They make a delicious breakfast for you with such love, and you can tell that they truly enjoy looking after their guests.
Gaby helped me with my Español, and Luis fussed over me and made sure I was okay when hiring one of their very cool scooters! Their son, Johnathon, is super lovely and helpful, and gave me a lot of advice as well as vouchers to use.
Valladolid was wonderful, but staying here was definitely a highlight for me.

Such an Awesome Hostel!

This was my favorite place to stay on my eight day trip to Yucatan. Luis and Gaby really are superhosts. It was wonderful talking with them both. I had a great night's sleep and woke up to a fantastic authentic breakfast. If you are staying in this area, GO HERE! You won't regret it.

Charming, calm family-run hostel in Valladolid‘s city centre

I really enjoyed to stay in this hostel! It’s a family-run business and the atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed. Jonathan gives you lots of very helpful tips for things to do in and around Valladolid and it’s location is very central. Still it’s very calm, you almost don’t hear any traffic noise. Also, the whole place, the rooms and the bathrooms are very tidy and clean.
One of the top highlights was the great breakfast, which is included in the price and made fresh every morning by Jonathan’s parents. Another thing that I loved a lot was the garden/courtyard in the back. It’s so beautiful, calm and literally just invites you to sit there and enjoy yourself/have your breakfast/a coffee/a chat with one of the other guests… One morning even a Colibri flew by!
So all in all, great value for a reasonable price, I definitely recommend it!

Excellent customer service

It is a house adapted for accommodation with large and beautiful spaces the owners who are the ones who care give you advice and help you in everything you need from booking excursions or without excursions give you directions how to do it yourself, breakfasts change every day and are delicious
