Excellent spot to stay in GDL

Amazing staff and cleanliness, would definitely recommend it. Walking distance to convenience stores, pharmacy just across the streets and ideally located in the metropolitan area.
Safe neighborhood, also recommend you check out the Beer Garden next to the hotel.

Excellent costumer service

Costumer service is excellent. Front desk is very helpful and accommodating. Suites are spacious and clean. They may improve the shower water pressure and the size of the bed (smaller than average hotel beds).

Nice spot

We stayed 2 nights. Staff was excellent, everyone working at the desk was very polite, good customer service. The suites are very cute and seemed well equipped although we did not cook in the room.
The location was great for what we needed, the complex felt very secure.
The only down side was the hot water in the shower only worked if it was at a very low setting and it was chilly in the mornings. We also had a hard time sleeping on a queen bed but we knew thats what we were getting it had just been a long time and it was smaller then I remembered so this is no reflection of the hotel just something to consider.

Feels like you are staying as a local

This is a fantastic place to set up shop for a stay in Guadalajara. The suites are appointed as a real apartment in Mexico - tile floors, complete kitchen, and plants hanging off of the wrought iron railings outside. Since there is a complete kitchen, there is an option for taking care of your own food from the local shops. Walmart is a long walk away for a complete grocery store. Within a half block is a "pharmacy" which includes a small grocery store. I only needed to find the Walmart to find some salad, fresh fruits, wine and the like which were not at the pharmacy. For runners, the Metropolitan Park is only a mile or so away, and makes for an excellent and peaceful running route. Security is excellent - the courtyard is tightly fenced in and access is controlled by the staff buzzing in and out any guests. Some caveats are in order: There is a cell tower right next to the hotel, which can seem a bit unnerving. And even though the neighborhood is very quiet, one night there was a party nearby which kept me awake for a bit.

great extended stay location

I stayed for 5 nights at Alcazar Suites after my assistant and i searched all over Zopopan area of Guadalajara Mexico. Alcazar was the best we found and my first stay there proved that it was worth the search. I stayed in Jr Suite and it is large for 1 person and very comfortable. The staff is absolutely wonderful and friendly - and tried to help every time i needed help. The location is in a real neighborhood, not a hotel strip or convention center, so i felt like i was really staying in GDL.
only negative is that most of the staff has limited English - polish up your Spanish!
I will definitely return.
