Great Place To Stay.
Relaxing location with great views.
Spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds, good air con, and very nice bathroom.
12 minute walk to start if old town.
Cheap taxis back (€2.5) if you can't be bothered to walk.
Friendly owner speaks good English.

Great view
I found the guesthouse well worth the money. The location is great - walking distance to town without a problem but still a bit up the hill giving you a spectacular view.
Shared balcony. WiFi working very good. Clean room. Car park outside the building. Friendly staff. Air con and fridge. Cash payment. I payed about 35€ for one double room. No soap or shampoo.
I asked about washing up laundry and was told one machine would be 10€.

Best view in Kotor
Beautiful view from room for Kotor Bay. Value for money. People pay for budget place and expect luxury...Big clean room with fridge. Great location with parking space. Sandra brought for us small kettle, cups and knife so we could make coffee and sandwiches:) Internet connection was ok. Bathroom no soap, toilet roll so this... could be better.

Hell hole Sandra - Worst accommodation ever
This is by far the worst accommodation we ever stayed at! We were looking for a budget accommodation and therefore did not expect a 5 star hotel. However, Guest house Sandra is not a house for guests as mentioned in another review.
We arrived in Kotor mid-afternoon with no service to make any call. The lovely pharmacist helped us out by calling the owner. We were then told that Sandra's father would collect us from the town.
Sometime went by and no one arrived which resulted in us having to buy some drinks to use the WiFi of a local cafe. We were then able to call Sandra to ascertain where her father was. As it turned out, he was waiting for us at the supermarket, something that we were never told in the first place.
Not knowing where to find the supermarket, we were told to go to the bakery, which obviously we didn't know where it might be located. We then asked where the accommodation was located, being well capable of taking a taxi. We were advised that it was next to "the church". Does it get more precise than that? Meanwhile, Sandra's father arrived (45 minutes later when the accommodation was located 800 metres from where we were).
We then followed Sandra's father to the bus terminal from where we had originally arrived. Sandra's father then hailed A TAXI!!! Upon arriving, we were then asked to pay for said taxi. All of the above could have been resolved by giving us clear directions to find the accommodation. We surely did not have to wait an hour in 40 degrees for someone to assist us in taking a taxi of all things.
Once at the accommodation, we were then ask to wait by Sandra's mother. One would expect that by 6pm, their room would be ready and they would not have to wait any additional time.
We were then taken into our room, which was in all objectiveness close to the pictures we had seen on booking.com. However, Sandra's mother rushed to turn around a bedside table, which was covered with mould. (see picture). The fridge was also in a pretty bad state, which some apparent rust. The beds were fine but we were not given any sheet, only a small square of fabric. Pathetic! We had to share the entrance with another room, which would have been fine if the air conditioner was not located in the common entrance!
We did not have private access to our bathroom and had to go through the common entrance, despite having booked a room with bathroom.
There also was no balcony despite what we have booked.
The bathroom that we had was definitely not one of the ones seen on booking.com (see pictures). A permanent brown stain featured in the shower. Some cutoff wires were left hanging from the wall. Some cable was hanging from the ceiling. The bathroom we were given needs to serious repair and maintenance.
Before leaving to go down to town, we gave our passports to Sandra's mother. She returned them a few minutes later saying that it was fine.
Upon returning to the guest house around 10.30pm, we made a little noise which was nowhere near the noise in the town with the carnival. My wife was really upset about the state of the accommodation and wanted to leave. Whatever noise we made would have lasted for a grand total of three minutes.
An hour later, Sandra and her mother barged into our room asking payment for the room which was utterly odd at 11.30pm. Sandra also asked for our passports that she had to register. We said that it was fine but asked that they be returned by 9am so that we could make most of the day and not wait all morning. Interestingly, Sandra's mother thought it was completely fine for her to be SMOKING IN OUR BEDROOM!!
At 10am the next day, we asked for our passports back and found out that they still hadn't been registered and we had to wait for Sandra to go to town. She said she would be back in 15 minutes. Sandra returned at 11am, being 45 minutes later than expected. She then told us that "we hadn't stopped making noise" as reported by her mother because Sandra was not there at the time. It is worth noting that sandra and/or her mother made no mention of the noise when they came into our room at 11.30pm the previous night. We also found out that Sandra's mother supposedly came to our room the night before and told us that she was going to call the police - an event that only happened in Sandra's mother's drunken mind.
Given the falsity of what we were being told, we started to explain to Sandra that this was not true. Out of nowhere, Sandra's brother (?) started yelling "silence" on multiple occasions. This felt like we had just joined the military!
Sandra and her brother left with our passports which were apparently still required! Whilst leaving with our passports, Sandra's brother told us we could have our passports back and leave (although we still had another night booked in this awful accommodation).
Whilst waiting, we started wondering whether we should leave and find a different accommodation for the night. Sandra came back down (15 minutes later) with our passports and tried to re-establish some dialogue with us. At this point, we considered staying for the night. This was until Sandra's mother came back and started barking things in a foreign language at us. Sandra translated what her mother said which was effectively that we had been noisy all night. We once again had to defend ourselves given that it was not true. Sandra's mother denied smoking in our room. Sandra seemed to have no recollection of her mother smoking in our room although they were together. When my wife started speaking, Sandra's mother started speaking to me in Montenegrin (?) and pointing to my wife. I took this to mean "how dare you let her speak!? Control her". I obviously had to explain that in 2017, women are independent and they are able to speak for themselves whenever they wish to do so. This obviously came as shocking news to people belonging to a country which wishes to join the European Union!
Sandra's brother, who had missed the whole discussion, made a reappearance and started again with the "silence" again. This was the last straw for us. Sandra's mother said something about the police. Sandra explained that her family wanted us to leave - not that there was any doubt in our mind that we would stay another minute in that god awful place!
As I was taking my bags out of the room, I slipped and almost fell and cracked my skull open onto some water that had licked on the tiled floor from the air con located in the common entrance (and served no purpose).
When I told Sandra about this incident, she ignored me! My wife and our friend were then outside asking for our money back for the second night. Sandra's mother would not return the money to anyone but myself (a man).
Sandra and her family ruined our whole morning that we spent waiting for our passports, arguing, leaving, finding a new accommodation and going to said accommodation.
Once we got the money back, we were still very angry about the situation. Sandra proceeded to shushing us on multiple occasions. It would have been too embarrassing for other guests to hear how awful they had been.
In summary, guest house Sandra is the worst accommodation we have ever stayed at. Sandra and her family are rude people with little for their guests or services they are meant to provide. It is clear that they are still leaving in some backward century where sexism and chauvinism reign supreme.
I would highly urge anyone who considers staying in Kotor to avoid guest house Sandra and spend a little more for a better accommodation. Your experience of Kotor will be entirely different to ours for the best.

Just visting
Although Montenegro wasn't on the traveling list it was definelty worth stopping in this country and taking a few days to check out. Also I would love to come back. This place was cool and the family was so lovely.
