Wonderful stay at Riad Amar!

Our stay at this lovely family hotel was exceptional. Moha treated us warmly and accompanied us during our stay.
The night in the desert was magical, and upon returning, we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast before exploring the Risani market and visiting the nomadic families.
Dinner at the hotel was spectacular. Every dish was a delight!
The hospitality of this place made us feel at home.
We recommend it to those looking for a unique and cozy desert experience. We will be back!

A hidden gem in Hassilabied

Excellent spot to start the exploration of the desert dunes of Merzouga. Very warm welcome by Moha, amazing and diverse local dishes based on family recipees, clean rooms with that make you feel comfortable and at home.
The riad can be easily privatised, with an access to a terrasse to have a copious breakfast overlooking the majestic dunes... I will definitely go back again.

Best guide of the desert!

Ibrahim was an incredible guide. The desert has no secret for him, being for the best place to spot sand foxes or how to catch a sand fish in the glimpse of an eye. He is generous and very friendly, speaks fluent French, Spanish, English and even manages to speak Japanese. In a nutshell, do not hesitate to book a tour with him (we did two days and wished we had done more!) it will be a fun, memorable, off the beaten track experience to discover the desert and its wonders.
And finally, his guesthouse is beautiful, welcoming, nicely decorated and ideally located in the center of the village : we regretted booking a hotel somewhere when we discovered it.

Cosy and relaxing

I'll start with the food, very tasty and huge meals, there are some other places to eat but you won't need them, Mohamed will ensure that. The place is very clean with a huge roof top that you can just chill on. It is on the very edge of the desert, you can see the dunes from the roof. Great value, would recommend.
