Majestic Sahara Dunes and Five-Star Comfort

This desert oasis provided a truly magical escape. The staff were friendly, helpful and made us feel instantly welcome. Our room was clean with a comfortable bed, ensuring a restful sleep after a long day.
The location is breathtaking: majestic sand dunes and a night sky filled with endless stars with photo ready sunsets. Dinner was delicious; from the fresh tomato salad to the incredible cheese and eggplant tagine (my fave!). After dinner the staff sat by the fire playing music, chatting and telling jokes and riddles. I had a really fun stay with a perfect blend of comfort, cleanliness, and celestial beauty. Highly recommended!

Rooms without functioning toilet, dirty water, not at all luxury. Left feeling totally swindled.

I actually don't believe the previous reviews are real. I normally don't write reviews but this was such a disappointing experience I feel like the need to share.
I booked a suite because the photos of the tiled baths and the view with a glass side looked incredible.
The view from the room was indeed beautiful, and the design of the room was pretty (with the exception of no privacy in the bathroom--who wants that?!), however the room was totally non functional and is not fit for guests (let alone charging them 300 Euro per night).
The toilet in our suite did not flush but we were not moved to another suite until the second night, so for 24 hours we did not have a functioning toilet to use. One of the guys tried fixing it on the first night but it just swirled the water around. The bath in the first room would not hold water because of a crack in the tub. Once we were moved to the second room, the tub could fill with water but it was brown, cloudy, and smelled terrible--there is obviously a filtration problem and it is definitely not something anyone would want to bathe in. It's crazy to me to charge prices of 300Euro per night in a room without a functioning toilet or water to bathe.
There was no hot water in either room, at any point, period. I also don't understand why the toilets in the suites wouldn't at the very least have a curtain around the toilet to give the tiniest amount of privacy. It's like sleeping in an open bathroom--not the most romantic to share with a partner.
On the first night we had other guests walking across our patio while we were dressing--completely defeating the purpose of having a beautiful view if its not possible to leave the shades open to see it. They should make walkways to the suites that lead to the back so that visitors are not crossing other private room patios. The shade in the second room was broken and needed to be manually opened.
Everything--the tents, carpets, all outdoor surfaces were dirty and stained, not at all like the pictures that I suspect must have been taken when the camp was first opened.
I paid for a number of extra services in advance which sounded great but did not at all meet the expectations--it was all 'bait and switch' and we felt totally ripped off when we found the true prices of things.
For the first night I booked a romantic dinner in the sand Dunes. I was told a table would be set up on the top of the dunes, where we would have a quiet, secluded dinner surrounded by lanterns in the desert. Upon arrival we were told there was a mixup and the dinner was scheduled for the following evening. It was explained that it took half a day to set up and that the weather wasn't favorable because of wind and sand (there was no breeze). The following evening, when it was set up, the table was not set up in the dunes, it was simply a table in the middle of the camp where all other guests were passing by from their rooms to and from the campfire--totally unacceptable and completely different from what was sold to me. It took about 5 minutes to set up, completely undermining the argument from the previous evening. There was absolutely no privacy and we would never have paid for such a thing. The food was recycled from lunch and exactly the same thing we had eaten, despite the fact that I was assured it would be a different, special menu. When we queried about why it wasn't set up in the dunes as promised we were told that it was because he was afraid there would be wild animals so it wasn't possible. It was a constant stream of lies/excuses. I wish I hadn't paid for this in advance, it was 110Euro.
We knowingly (and in retrospect stupidly) paid more than 2x the price for our airport transfer purely to simplify our lives by booking through the hotel, but were picked up by a rude driver with a dirty car who did not have functioning air conditioning. It was sweltering on the day we arrived and the trip was incredibly uncomfortable. By the time we got to the hotel we both felt sick and overheated. We would have been better off booking our own transfer.
We also booked paid 160 Euro for a 4x4 tour that lasted less than 2 hours. This is much more than what other tours cost and with the exception of the drive through the dunes, the experience was totally underwhelming.
Unfortunately because everything was paid in advance we didn't have any option to cancel or leave when we realized how badly we had been overcharged and promised things that would not be delivered. We were offered no compensation for anything.
I'd never go again and would not recommend. Perhaps if you are going to camp and you expect camping facilities you won't be disappointing but this is in no way luxury or anything near what is sold as a high end experience. We paid 1100 Euro total (including experiences) for 2 nights. Worth closer to 200 considering what we got.

Disappointment in the dessert

Staff and food service is very good but facility needs a ton of work. Rooms are spacious and have air conditioning, but are very dark and not well lit and the beds are like sleeping on planks of lumber Internet is very spotty, and bathroom has a septic smell. Overall a very disappointing stay!

Riad Kasbah Aiour

We had the pleasure of staying at Riad Kasbah Aiour. Clean, welcoming and warm rooms, typical Moroccan traditional building architecture, perfect optical effect. Welcoming and nice staff. Parking included in the accommodation price. We were warmly welcomed as if we were old friends even though it was our first time there, breakfast and dinner were perfect. In the evening we had a bonfire and traditional Moroccan music, thanks to which we stayed an extra day than we had planned. Here you can take camel trips, car trips or walk barefoot in the desert sand. I thank my two new friends, Abdul and Addi for the welcome we had. And I hope we will see you again.

luxury staycation in the desert

We spent three nights here in the desert camp, it's one of the best experience we have in the morroco, the camp are just in front of the dune. Although July is hot, but thanks god we have the AC on all day!(Life saver). The most important thing is the people here, these berber guys are very nice and try to help us out all the time during the stay. Special thanks to Addi who help us contact everything and treat us like his family during the stay! And also thanks to Abudala, Moha and Ali, they are very kind too!
