A haven of peace
We spent 3 absolutely magical days at the Hotel Caravan Dakhla by Our Habitas The place is a jewel in the desert, with an Agafay style that mixes elegance and simplicity, perfect for recharging.
It is the ideal address for those who really want to disconnect, away from stress and noise. And for kiteboarding enthusiasts, the location is also perfect, with easy access to the famous Dakhla spots.
The staff is exceptional – always smiling, caring, and incredibly kind. A huge thank you to Karam for his kindness and responsiveness to Yassin too and Mahfoud at the reception for their warm Welcoming and availability. But also a big bravo to the whole team, without exception, for their constant benevolence. This is one of the real highlights of the hotel!
The spa is a pure moment of relaxation, with a masseuse, Ismahane, who is just topissimo! She's gentle, professional. We're completely regenerated.
And what about cooking? Simply delicious, with refined and tasty dishes, from breakfast to dinner.
In short, an unforgettable experience, which I recommend 100%. We will return without hesitation!

Family stay -kite surf
Neat outdoor spaces.
We occupied 2 oasis and lagoon rooms, note that the lagoon is more spacious but only has an outdoor shower and toilets are also in the patio, not ideal this season.
The problem is the disorganization of the staff and the mismanagement of the hotel.
Unmaintained swimming pool, cloudy and green water.
Completely inefficient service at the restaurant that greatly hinders the experience because the cuisine is of quality.
Poor kite surf club. Torn suits, no walkie talkie as mentioned on the hotel website. Of the 2 monitors, one was completely selfless and unable to teach anything.
Enrolled in private lessons, one of our children ended up with another student. To be avoided at all costs.
Finally check the invoices, which they were unable to provide the day before departure. The day of departure, the person at the reception wanted to make us pay the deposit made at the time of booking despite the proof of payment confirmation.
Too bad because if the manager were to invest more in the management of staff and maintain the level of services, everyone would benefit!

To avoid
-rooms in very bad condition.
- quality catering but food poisoning for 4 of us at the end of our stay.
- pool water which turned to a darker and darker green color as the week progressed.
-quasi-mute kite teacher.
- Check out with 20% more than expected (Very Chic rate wrong according to the manager who after hard negotiation came to his senses).

The rooms were poorly maintained: there were gaps under the doors, issues with hot water, and leaking sinks. When we reported these problems, no prompt or effective solutions were offered, and some issues were not addressed at all.
I would like to acknowledge Mahmut at the reception — he was very kind, helpful, and professional, and we truly appreciated his support. However, I cannot say the same for the lady working the other shift. There was a gap under the room door and insects were getting in; when I requested a room change, she simply told me to put a towel under the door. This is not acceptable. At times, I could not find her at the reception and had to look for her around the hotel to get my room key. When I approached her, she spoke to me in a rather rude manner, saying ‘come with me’.
On a positive note, the food was very good — compliments to the chef.
Overall, based on this experience, I do not recommend this hotel.
