I just returned from a week-long yoga retreat that I organized at this absolutely exceptional place, and the experience exceeded all our expectations.
After the success of our first retreat here in 2024, we chose to return in 2026, and once again, everything was perfect.
The site is beautiful, peaceful, and inspiring. The rooms are comfortable and impeccably maintained. The common areas are warm, inviting, and offer a spectacular view that instantly promotes relaxation and disconnection.
The true gem of this place is undoubtedly its incredible shala. It is a magical space, filled with energy, perfectly designed for yoga, meditation, and moments of self-connection. All the participants in our group were deeply touched by the beauty and atmosphere of the place.
But what truly sets this hotel apart is its staff. From the reception to the housekeeping team, including the servers, gardeners, and managers of the various services, each person welcomed us with a sincere smile, remarkable kindness, and exemplary professionalism. You can feel that the entire team works with heart.
Organizing a retreat for a group of several dozen people requires a lot of coordination, and the staff was present at every step to help us provide an exceptional experience for our participants.
Thank you to the entire team for your warm welcome, generosity, and attention to detail. You contributed to creating memories that will remain etched in our hearts for a long time.
We left feeling rested, inspired, and grateful.
We will undoubtedly return in 2027.

Horrible experience: run away especially!
Our stay at Essaouira Lodge was a disaster from A to Z. It may have been our 10th family trip to Morocco but everything was different this time.
Breakfast: without flavor or generosity. No Msemen, no 1000-hole pancakes, no pastries except hard-boiled cakes.
- Bedrooms: smells of sewer every night, fewer towels than the number of people accommodated, flushing broken down once in 2, no bottle of drinking water to brush your teeth, no refill of toilet samples, a single duvet tucked into sheets for a double bed.
- Service: aggressiveness and rigidity from all the staff, manager who refuses to talk with customers because "he does not have time for this".
I specify that we stay in the most premium villa of the hotel at more than 500€ per night. As we booked last minute, all hotels were sold out except this one which was almost empty. It's easier to see why now.
Fortunately, Essaouira is a dream and it is not the mediocrity of this establishment that ruined our magnificent trip!

Very good stay consistent with the description
We had a pleasant stay at Essaouira Lodges. We stayed in a very spacious and very clean superior suite. The pool is heated, covered at night. Very good and abundant varied food. I recommend relaxing massages, the person who performs the massages is very professional. The staff at the bar (non-alcoholic) and restaurant are very attentive and charming. The site is 20 minutes from the medina with the free shuttle every 2 hours, very punctual. I recommend without problem.
