Surreal and breathtaking hotel
My wife and I absolutely loved this riad/hotel!! The hospitality and service is remarkable. All of the workers are so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast and dinner is delicious. Lastly, the ocean view from our hotel room was surreal and like a dream. We loved falling asleep to the ocean waves at night. The hotel has so much charm and is one of my all time favorite hotels and that’s coming from a world traveler who has been to a lot of hotels. My wife and I even went to the Atlas Mountains after our stay at the hotel and ended up immediately coming back to this hotel during the same trip since we missed it so much. I rarely write hotel reviews but this one certainly deserved it! We can’t wait to come back again soon.

In Medina on Edge of the Ocean
We were very happy to have stayed at Riad Mimouna during our stay in Essaouria! The room was spacious and very comfortable, but the greatest thing about it was our spectacular view right over the Atlantic (see pictures)! The views from the top floor breakfast and lounge are also amazing. Service was great. Location for us was perfect - within the old town but at the edge of it, making everything accessible yet uncrowded at night and quiet (although than the sound of the waves, which we enjoyed). The breakfast was good, but not as luxe as the rest of the experience, so that could be improved just a bit. Overall all though, a fantastic experience that we would highly recommend.

Definitely book a room with a sea view!
We were picked up by a bellboy from the hotel at one of the city gates. We would have had a hard time finding this hidden riad on our own.
We had booked a room with a sea view. The view is impressive! The room itself was rather small and simple, and the bathroom was quite outdated. We can highlight the restaurant positively. The dinner was very tasty, and the breakfast was exceptionally diverse for Morocco.

Oceanfront Charm at Riad Mimouna
Riad Mimouna is a beautiful hotel perched right on the Atlantic shoreline, just steps from the shops and winding streets of Essaouira. The breakfast was exceptional, and the early‑morning ocean views were absolutely stunning. Our room and bathroom were excellent—comfortable, well‑appointed, and easy to temperature‑control. The riad’s central atrium, rising three floors, is ornate and breathtaking. It was quite windy during our stay, and the door rattled a bit, but never enough to disturb our sleep.
The staff were friendly, welcoming, and genuinely fun to be around. We even caught part of a soccer match with one of them, and Mr. Karriem kept us laughing with his jokes about checkout time and his enthusiastic Hammam recommendation.
