Friendliness and good food

The food of the place very good. A pleasant space in which to eat everything delicious. Omar, our waiter, has been fantastic, helped us a lot.

Riad Funky in Fez

My stay at Riad Funky in Fez was a truly memorable experience. Nestled in the heart of the medina, this riad offers an authentic atmosphere and captivating Moroccan charm from the moment you walk through its doors.
Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the riad team, who were not only professional but also incredibly attentive. They took the time to introduce me to the different facets of the riad, from its traditional architecture to its magnificent inner courts decorated with mosaics and fountains.
My room at Riad Funk was a haven of peace. Tastefully decorated in a typical Moroccan style, it offered all modern comforts while preserving the authenticity of the place. The beds were comfortable and the private bathroom was spotless, which greatly contributed to making my stay pleasant and relaxing.
The riad also has several beautiful common areas where you can relax and socialize with other travelers. Whether in the central patio, on the panoramic terrace with stunning views of the medina, or in the living room decorated with Berber carpets and colorful cushions, every corner of Riad Funk exudes Moroccan hospitality.
Breakfast served each morning was a real delight, with fresh and local produce that allowed me to start the day on the right foot. In addition, riad staff were always available to provide advice on local attractions, recommended restaurants and the best ways to explore Fes.

My Best Night ♥️

I have been here two months ago i can say is the best hostel i have been before we came from Ouejda in the middle of the night and they were waiting for us the whole night to open the door for me and my girlfriend the rooftop was incredible view especially at night the beds clean the Two Rastas guys I forgot their names (sorry) were very polite and friendly i recommend it and i will be back soon ♥️

Good tour and dinner. Social! But airport shuttle problems

Comfortable and very naturally social (lots of common areas, activities, people always hanging out). Great tour and dinner offered. People of all ages and nice staff. Not super clean cut but sanitary and safe. Would’ve been 5 stars but I arranged an airport shuttle and it never showed up. I don’t know if that was the hostel or the taxi people, but no one was awake and there were no instructions about the shuttle or getting help at odd hours so I just sort of had to figure it out

What an experience!

Funky fez has all you want in a hostel, and for me it even had a bit more, with one night of live music that superated my expectations! I really recomend this place, super friendly staff, amazing food made by the resident morocan chef Samira (she really pours her heart out when she cooks those couscous)...and the view, wow. If I ever find myself in Fez again, this will be my top choice to stay the night or nights. By the way, it's insanely close to the Medina, but not so close that all you hear is people passing, the location is top notch for me. For those worried about hygiene, I have nothing to complain, saw them cleaning my room during the morning (a bit of a lazier day) bathroom and all, and soon as people left they changed all the sheets and made it prestine again.
Above all, thank you Funky Fez staff you where incredible...there is now such thing as a "good boat" without a competent crew on-board :)
