Great for visiting Fez
We chose the Palace because it was very well located, next to the Medina, and you could access it from the outside parking, which makes access much easier since you don't have to go through the labyrinthine streets.
Once inside, the room is very spacious and air-conditioned.
Breakfast is served in the patio, which is very nice and has a pool that is great for cooling off in the heat.

Gem in Fez Medina
Nice relaxed hotel with nice pool, quiet rooms, nice breakfast and wide choice of lunch and dinner dishes. Nice staff who make the extra meter for you so you have a perfect stay.

Far from being good.
Very disappointed with the accommodation assigned compared to the photos advertised on Booking. The room is dilapidated, the bathroom has a sink faucet that leaks constantly. Changing the shower and spray is impossible because the system is in the soap dish, completely rusted. There is a water leak in the bathroom at the drain siphon. Sewage water backs up in the shower. There is a musty smell in the room due to lack of ventilation. The bedding is soaked with it.
The toilet seat, completely disassembled, only stays in place by miracle. Wet toilet paper. A broken dresser. Not even a small fridge. No bottles of water as a welcome gift.
The steps of the pool are slippery underfoot. In summary, the Palais Shazam only holds the name from the tales of the thousand and one nights. Aside from the location for access to the Medina, which I did not find transcendent.
Honestly, I do not promote it. We regret our choice of hotel. The quality/price ratio is excessively high for a one-star. Booking should verify its accommodations before offering them. Very luxurious for local clientele or tourists in search of authenticity, and that is all.
In short, just a dream.

An absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is calm and beautifully designed, combining luxury with authentic charm. The spa treatments were incredibly relaxing, and the staff were attentive and welcoming throughout our stay. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and stylish getaway.”

Excellent location: one side near the road where there is easy access to Taxi and excursions pickup and drop, and the other side opens to the Medina. Breakfast is lovely. Nice courtyard, with greenery and chilling music in the evenings, a couple of turtles. Friendly staff, even gave us an early breakfast takeaway as we had to leave for an excursion. Water filter for free - eco friendly so you don’t need to buy bottles!
On the not so good side - we booked a family room but it wasn’t “available” when we arrived at night. 2 double rooms were given and effort was made next day to sort it out. Rooms are ok, but some are small.
