First class, wonderful hotel. Book it!

A hotel experience of a lifetime! We stayed for 2 nights as a family of four with teenagers. This hotel was a highlight of our whole trip. It oozes Moroccan tradition - and it’s simply stunning. Taking the trip to Morocco in August we were eyes wide open about how hot it would be in Marrakesh - but La Maison Arabe is so calm and cool it meant we embraced the heat and chaos of the city easily. Breakfast and an evening meal were both stunning. Every member of staff was incredibly welcoming and kind. The jazz bar is beautiful.
We spent an afternoon at the country club pool which was also wonderful.
Very highly recommend!

Beautiful but expensive

We stayed in this Ryad for a week in June 26 in a Standard Double Room.
The hotel is exceptionally beautiful and spotlessly clean. The staff throughout the hotel were very professional, polite and helpful.
Our room was cleaned to a very high standard every day with bath towels being replaced twice per day. A bottle of water is placed in the room on a daily basis.
The restaurant food was delicious and service in the restaurant was mostly exceptional with the exception of a couple of evenings where the waiter seemed distracted by other guests, one evening a large corporate party, and our wine and water was held on another table away from ours so we had to rescue our drinks to the table and fill our own glasses. Unfortunately, this happened on our last night in the hotel which was a shame as we wanted it to be special.
The pool within the main hotel is in the middle of the dining area so you would have to swim between guests eating. There aren’t any pool chairs close to the pool so using it isn’t really an option. Thankfully there is a Country Club with a pool that is around 20-30 minutes away by complimentary bus. The pool is very cool and good for swimming pool lengths, there is also food and drinks available to buy.
The gym is very small and doesn’t have a lot of strength options with only one pair of dumbbells and a cable machine with some options.
The jazz bar within the hotel is a great venue and the piano player is excellent. Staff are so friendly.
The downside to the hotel in general is that food and drinks are very expensive. In addition to this there is a 10% VAT surcharge and 10% service charge added to every order. A 1l bottle of sparkling water is £10 and a bottle of Moroccan wine is £50. I just hope that the 10% service charge is given to the staff.
All in all, a beautiful hotel but very expensive.

Favorite Stay in Morocco!!

Our experience at La Maison Arabe was fantastic in every way possible. I want to especially acknowledge the manager at the restaurant, Abbas. My husband has allergies to different foods and he went above and beyond to make sure he was taken care of and enjoyed his meals. I can't say enough about his professionalism, demeanor and overall great attitude. This was our favorite stay of the variety of places we stayed in Morocco. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Beautiful rooftop bar and restaurant with outstanding staff.

We didn’t stay here but booked a table for dinner in the stunning rooftop bar/restaurant. Abbas and his team welcomed us and were very hospitable, making sure that we had everything we needed. We chose the Asian dishes - soup, brochettes, wok de boeuf (which was outstanding!) and the chicken tikka. The setting is wonderful as the sun goes down. It became a bit chilly as the evening progressed and the staff moved our table inside without hesitation, making sure we were warm and comfortable. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious food and fantastic service in stunning surroundings. Only one thing to improve for the management is that we found accessing the menu online beforehand quite difficult- more information on the website this would be ideal.

A hidden gem in the busyness of Marrakech with exceptional food, service and atmosphere!

Wow! What an exceptional hotel for so many reasons! We are still in Morocco and will take time when we return home to get in touch directly with the hotel to express our thoughts and pass on our sincere thanks. We haven’t stayed anywhere in the world where we have had such a kind, warm and compassionate welcome by all the staff like we received at La Maison Arabe - nothing seemed to be too much trouble for anyone! This hotel is a hidden, magical and rare find and is worthy of every accolade going. Breakfast was exceptional in its quality, variety and presentation, and food at lunch and dinner was some of the best we have ever eaten. There is so much history in this building, we wished we had spent longer than our three nights to be able to soak up the atmosphere. We didn’t have an opportunity to visit the hamman/spa or the cooking school, but we dearly hope we can return one day and experience both. While there is a pool, we enjoyed taking advantage of the courtesy shuttle bus to go out to a country club where a peaceful oasis of calm and a beautiful swimming pool allowed a degree of relaxation after the busyness of Marrakech. If you are looking for something of high quality and unique in its history, then don’t look anywhere else!
