The worst stay of my life
The worst experience of my life. The structure is dirty, the breakfast mediocre, we booked a triple room and were given a room with a bed for one and a half people. Dust everywhere, dirt everywhere, bathroom full of mold, just like the room. Continuous noise from the internal courtyard and neighboring rooms. The structure is difficult to find and the exterior is a construction site. For breakfast, you take what they give you, which means not even water, no fruit, no eggs, no cold cuts. After the first night, we asked the provider to let us leave, and the structure opposed us in every way, promising a room change. Upon our return, they acknowledged the obvious mistake of the lack of a third bed and a room of 10m2 instead of 28m2 as advertised, and we were promised a discount. The refund was, according to them, not making us pay the tourist tax, which was instead paid at check-in. Avoid it like the plague; you won't even find this disgrace in a 2-star hotel.

Al momento del check-in è emerso un problema legato al rispetto della normativa marocchina applicabile all'alloggio di cittadini marocchini e stranieri. Questa situazione non era stata segnalata al momento della prenotazione e non permetteva di utilizzare la camera prenotata nelle condizioni previste.
Nonostante il riad fosse completamente occupato, abbiamo fatto il possibile per trovare una soluzione. A nostre spese, abbiamo messo gratuitamente a disposizione una seconda camera, normalmente chiusa e non commercializzata in quel periodo a causa di lavori di ristrutturazione.
Siamo quindi sorpresi di leggere critiche riguardanti questa camera, che era stata concessa gratuitamente per risolvere una situazione indipendente dalla volontà del riad.
Per quanto riguarda l'ubicazione, il riad si trova a pochi minuti a piedi da Jemaa el-Fna, dai souk e dai principali palazzi storici della Medina. Leggere che la struttura sarebbe "mal situata" ci sorprende particolarmente, poiché la posizione è uno degli aspetti più apprezzati dai nostri ospiti.
Rispettiamo naturalmente ogni opinione, ma riteniamo che questa recensione non descriva in modo completo gli eventi accaduti né gli sforzi compiuti dal nostro team per trovare una soluzione.

Cleanliness, breakfast, and custom meals, excellent!
Great stay! Abdul, Sara, and the other kitchen employee, are fantastic hosts! I would definitely indicate to my friends stay in this Riad. The access is a bit atypical, but inside very good!

Upon my arrival to Riad Balkisse, they told me they were putting me in a different riad (Riad Chalymar) and that it is "the same thing." This property was very deep into the alleyways and on a dead end. For a group of girls, this location felt completely unsafe – we had to have some guy friends walk us back at night, and there actually ended up being a group of men in the alley leading to the riad who harassed us. Had we not felt too scared to leave, we would have stayed elsewhere. It is actually disgusting that a riad could call such a poor, unsafe location "the same thing."
Besides the location, the riad that we were placed in was dimly lit and extremely humid (the bedsheets felt damp). Our window did not bolt shut (someone could just open it from the hallway), and our door did not close fully, and a tiny padlock keeps the bolt on the door locked, all of which are unsafe and not secure. The only good part was that the guy working there was pretty friendly.
