Honesty

I stayed in this riad for 1 night and forgot my phone charger. On my return to Marrakech I tried to go to Riad Essaoussan to ask if they had found it (I didn't have much hope) and to my surprise, the owner had found it, kept it and returned it to me. Thank you very much - Top Marrakech

Not Recommended for families

Not accessible by car , you have to walk 10 mins from the nearest drop off point, stairs were too hectic, Very poor internet, No toiletries were served. · Fair for the price paid , at the heart of the old town

Don't go there. They are robbers around the hotel.

The guy who works there is very rude with the clients and the rooms at the second floor the shower doesn't work properly. When we told the guy he was shooting at us and told us it's nothing he can do for us. It's very dangerous at night. They are robbers around the hotel. It's very dark. Good luck to you.

Not recommended at all!

I had all kind of problems with this riad, some not very important others a bit more but the worse bit was trying to comunícate with the owner who was potentially agressive and impossible to talk to.
From day 1 payments only were on cash. Showers of my friend room didn´t have hot water, when they told him he was upet yelled at us and slam the door. After this episode on my first day, I started thinking about looking for another place to go, but he kept chasing us to pay the full amount. Second day we look for him to pay and tell him that we weren´t happy at the riad but he wasn´t there. We went to our room and at 11pm he knok the door yelling us to pay the whole amount or take our things and leave at that precise moment. Horrible experience.
Apart from that, breakfast are poor, no lights on the stairs cases, damp with literally drops of water coming out of the walls when it was raining. Also, the at the riad we coluden´t find anyone after we paid. After the third night, temperatura drop drasticly and remote for the air conditioning was removed from our room. Looked for someone to give us the remote to warm up a bit the room but nobody showed up, so had to sleep 3 more days frozen.
Beside all of that, WIFI only works on the ground floor. book through riad a taxi from airport and he charged us 15 euros when a normal fare from airport to Marrakesh is between 7-10 euros.
To walk to the riad you need to walk through footpaths that are a bit too dark.
Last, but not least important, toilet was really dirty at our arrival which I had to clean because this place has not service room meaning, beds are not done, towels are not changed, bed sheet are not changed or any cleanning done during the stay.

Nice riad in the heart od medina

Our stay in Riad was very nice. The owner Jusuf is a very kind and helpful man. He told about good and cheap restaurants, souks, shops etc. There is just 5 min walking distance to Jemma el Fna square. The Riad is actually in the middle of souks. We like the top floor under the heaven, which is higher than most of medina buildings, so the view is amazing! The bathroom shuld be nicer and cleaner.

Very good location
