Wonderful Road!

A great place with politeness driven by Bassou and nice atmosphere. Even though we stayed only one night, the nice memories stay. In the very center with access to everything by a short walk. Watch out for mopeds and motorcycle

Authentic and real Morroccan hospitality at its true best

Authentic and real Morroccan hospitality at its true best. Will do anything and I mean anything for you. we absolutely loved this Riad qnd staff. Said the manager is probably the nicest host anywhere in Marrakech. Could not do enough for you from arranging our transport to and from the airport, greeting us on arrival to take our cases, arranged dinner at the Riad on our first night, which was delicious, breakfast was whatever you wanted. Said arranged a private cookery course for us an experience we will never forget, plenty of tagines on the horizon when we get home.
Would we come back to Marrakech and Riad Julia? in an instance. Said is not just a host he is our friend now, I even had a message from him to make sure we arrived home safely.

Beautiful, welcoming, central yet quiet riad.

Riad Julia was very responsive from the get go. Mustafa met me on the main street and showed the way. The medina can be confusing but once shown this Riad is easy to find; basically take Rte Sidi Abdelaziz, then 1st right to Derb El Halfaoui, then 1st right, 1st right and 1st right again. No one bothered me on my way and felt safe. The answer is in not asking for directions, not looking lost, not looking at your phone and in walking with confidence.
You are welcome with mint tea whilst Mustafa politely checks you in, recommends restaurants and gives helpful tips. I absolutely loved my room, especially the colourful woodwork. Bed was comfortable, bathroom had everything I needed. Also enjoyed the plunge pool and the roof top sofas. Breakfast was delicious with Moroccon pastries and freshly squeezed orange juice. I ordered something different each day.
Riad is close to all the main sites so walked everywhere. The small kiosks on the way to the Riad and the nearby patisserie are very reasonable and don't try to cheat you.
I walked to and visited the Jardin Majorelle, so beautiful, and surrounded by lovely cafes and artisan shops. Bought ticket well in advance, what a good decision, queues were long! Jemaa El Fnaa is a must at night, loved the juice stalls, practically lived on them every day.
I would not hesitate to return to Riad Julia! My only constructive suggestion would be to make some drinks available to buy at the riad as it would have been nice to take a drink and maybe some snacks in the evening on the rooftop. Thank you :))
