Great local experience

Mme Alfafa and her team are wonderful hosts.we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff went out of their way to be helpful and recommend activities, transport arrangements and restaurants.while they sell beer and wine you can also bring your own, which is very generous.
There is a lovely terrace area and food (breakfast and diner) is served in the lounge area of the Riadh.
It is beautifully finished featuring traditional Moroccan artisanal craft.

A beautiful riad in a city a little bit

Beautiful riad in the middle of the city of Ouarzazate. A nice swimming pool to cool off after a hot day. Very easy to park on the street.
We did not eat at the riad but several restaurants in Ouarzazate relatively close to the riad.

Visit real Morocco

Not strictly speaking a riad, actually a guesthouse or auberge...but its a really authentic, well-run place. The owners and small staff are warm and hospitable, the rooms are clean, beds comfortable. If you speak to the owner, he will be happy to suggest places to go and put you in touch with contacts in the local tour groups.
Don't be put off by the fact that the airport looks close by. There are few flights and I never heard noise.
Ouarzazate is walkable, being a small city, but petit taxis are 30p any distance on the city.
I hired a private driver for a day to take me to Ait Ben Haddou kasbah (must-see, but crowded), the Atlas film studio and Finnt oasis. You can join group tours (cheaper) but less waiting around with a private driver.
I took the coach from Ouarzazate to Marrakech and had an overnight stay near the medina/souk. Crazy busy with traffic, tourists and locals but worth the £22 return ticket...be aware its at least 4.5-5 hours though the Atlas Mountain scenery is incredible.
I also joined a group tour overnight in a desert camp...including about 8km on a camel. Not for the faint hearted!
I recommend Ouarzazate and this accommodation as somewhere different, get away from the overcrowded cities and experience real Morocco

Riad of calm

One of the best Riad in Ouarzazat to enjoy the tranquility, either with family or in group all rooms are well occupied with bathroom and tv and clean with secure parking in front of the hotel, the hotel staff, they are really super nice they are always listening to their guests. Thank you to everyone and we will visit you soon really it is recommended this address
