Excellent for the price

Loved the place, beautiful, attentive staff, great confortable beds, loved it for the price. Wifi was ok, never had a problem. Good breakfast. Very charming place and tradutional furniture/ decor. Close to where we needed to be.

Budget riad

Good location and easily accessible. Fair price for what you get. The owner was friendly, gave us some tea and a free upgrade to a room with a private bathroom without us asking anything. However there weren't any curtains to block the sun coming from the windows and you will probably wake up early with the birds from the house.

Disappointing

We went to Dar el Karam, the view on the terrace is magnificent but unfortunately the tea is not good at all. In addition, in terms of cleanliness it is not great. The welcome was cold, especially the lady who ran the cash register, she looked at us from head to toe without smiling or saying hello.

Great location, very basic room, friendly staff

They did not answer emails how to get there. Staff at location however was friendly. Rooms on ground floor are small and have no daylight. That happens often in a riad style home though. Hygiene was okay. Location is great and easy to find.

Not what it says on the tin :(

We booked this hotel for a family stay on booking.com .... not impressed!
We arrived and firstly couldn't find the place, therefore called the hotel to help guide us. We had to pay him 20 Dirhams for the privilege of walking us there (no offer from him to carry our suitcase). Be warned you can't park anywhere near the entrance to this so called 'hotel'.
We were taken down a grotty high street type place where there was dirt tracks for road. This is not conducive when pulling a suitcase or with an elderly woman.
Eventually we arrived at a shifty looking establishment, where they have used straw and mud on the walls to make it look more 'authentic'. Unfortunately it just wasn't nice.
The manager asked us to book in and then showed us to the one bedroom he said we had booked. We had booked two bedrooms as there were 4 of us! After providing him with the confirmation and some very firm words he showed us to one shared room with 3 beds and one bed on the floor. No window and NOTHING like the pictures. No private bathroom as alluded by booking.com (cheers for that). So if you like your privacy be warned it's a shared bathroom downstairs. No locks on doors and ultimately we did not feel safe and were not provided with what we paid for. Therefore, we were forced to find accommodation elsewhere.... they told booking.com that we were a 'no show' and charged us.
Absolute joke and would not recommend this 'hotel'.
