We stayed at this lodge for a week as we were coming to the Todra Gorges to rock climb. The place was recommended by mountain project (a climbing app), however it seems the the overall quality of the place went down since the old owner sold the place... the photos don't really reflect the experience we got. We could not really get advice on site regarding the climbing venues, crags or routes. The place also feels a little run down...
The room itself was relatively comfortable and the balcony overlooking the oasis was nice, but we were disapointed with the quality of the meals, especially the breakfast which was included in the price. Poor quality products, instant coffee, crepes reheated from the day before... yikes!
The room was ok in terns of cleaniness when we showed up, but no housekeeping was done over the whole week... towels were never changed and we had to bring the garbage out ourself.
The place is still relatively good in terms of value, so if you want something cheap it may still be a good option, however if we ever come back we will pay more for a nicer guesthouse or riad.

Very good.

Absolutely loved it, 4 of us on a self guided climbing trip, the accommodation was very comfortable, the welcome by Ishmail was amazing and he looked after us throughout the trip, sorting Taxis , climbing advice, currency issues etc.
The area is stunning and a must go to.

Warm accommodation

If you are looking for a small accommodation to come and enjoy the Todgha gorges, this accommodation is for you!
It’s warm and well placed and you will be very well received. The quality/price ratio is great! We feel at home.
Very decent meal and breakfast.

Please Avoid

They are no longer affiliated to Aventures Verticales so the website and write up is a scam. The stay seemed pleasant enough at first. I extended my stay and came back at 9pm one night, only to be scolded by the manager. I’m not sure - it seemed like he could have been worried or upset that I was having dinner in another nearby restaurant. If he were truly worried, he could have called me.
And then came check-out time when they decided to charge me 100 euros for half day’s rock-climbing. Website said 80 euros. I had to argue my way through. After I left, I found out they charged someone else 80 euros for full day climbing guide and rental. What a joke.
By the way, the climbing guide was sub-par. And I found another option for climbing guides who are better at a much cheaper rate.
The stay was so-so. The rooms came with shower and sink, toilet was in a separate room without a sink so it was weird.
The lady help was very nice though. Anyways, if I could give them 0, I totally would.
