A night stay at Hotel Thipaw

Clean and full of facilities.
It has wide dining hall and staffs are friendly and helpful.
Foods are also tasty.The only bad thing in the interval of my visit is wi-fi unavailable.
But still ok for rest of the services and hygiene of the hotel.

Good facility when there is electricity

We chose this hotel as it is wheelchair accessible, but the rooms and restaurant are only accessible when there is electricity. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. The staff is as helpful as they can be with a stingy manager/owner. Unfortunately, during our stay the electricity went off so many times. There were few guests and the management refused to run the generator. Our room was so hot we could not sleep during the night. I walked down and up the stairs about 6 times during the evening, night and early morning to beg the staff to run the generator. They had to get permission from the manager which was sometimes given and sometimes not. We have stayed in many hotels all over Myanmar, some simpler and less expensive. They ALWAYS run the generator within minutes of the power outage.

Handicapped Friendly

This is a Handicapped friendly hotel. The chef was accommodating as he tried to arranged hot dog for us. They got very good pizza. They got a very good chinese speaking driver who drove us from Hsipaw to Mandalay. The water pressure was too low...
Dun forget to visit this food place call Happy City in San Malar Garden as they served nice food with nice river view.

Great clean hotel

The room was very clean and comfortable. The building was very new with modern elevators. The room service food was also very good. Staff was friendly and they also packed a breakfast box for us when we had to check out at 4.30am. The roof offers a great view of the surrounding area.

Excellent Hotel at affordable price

The hotel is very comfortable and neat. The food is better than that you generally find in hotels in small towns in Myanmar.
However, as usual in Myanmar, these guys too do not understand what should be a breakfast. Very few options and if you are not used to Myanmar food, it may turn out to be very disappointing.
