First time in Myanmar so I have nothing to compare it whit. But super friendly and helpful staff. Nice kitchen in top floor restaurant. And af beautiful clean room.

See through bathroom

We are two employees on a business trip so we stayed at Palace View Hotel in one of the rooms with two beds. The bathroom was completely see through because the curtain is damaged and we are two guys constantly having to look the other way. When called the reception to request a toilet they said they cannot do anything for us. Absolutely terrible service will not come to the hotel again.

Not the most modern but the staff made our stay memorable

We had no idea what to expect but we quickly fell in love with Mandalay. The young lady checked us in and gave us some info on the top sights to see in the neighbouring town, Mingun. She also organised for a taxi to pick us up the next day to take us to the tourist boat jetty. Our room was fairly basic but clean, the bathroom door was a bit run down but still clean. Breakfast was decent with lovely views of the palace walls across the road. Restaurants were within walking distance. Overall, a great stay.

Small and quiet.

It is nicely located near the ancient palace but at a distance from busy area. Breakfast is so so. It is better to stop and stay if you travel by car. There is enough space for parking. Staff are helpful.

Great staff and service

The staff at reception couldn’t do enough to help you it was a really good welcome.
The breakfast was also very nice and again staff very helpful the hotel is old and needs to a refurbish.
I think it’s a good value and excellent location.
