Wonderful gem of a hotel

I never write reviews but was blown away by the care and hospitality of this little hotel. It is not a 5-star fancy place, but more like a family run 3-star boutique hotel. Clean, with big rooms and bathrooms (stayed in a junior suite) with a private courtyard nook by the pool. Loved the charming staff, cold and refreshing pool, and huge breakfast. It is cold in the mornings but they have blankets in the rooms if needed.
They can arrange boat trips and taxis, and have bikes for rent. Many shops and restaurants within walking distance.
I loved my stay here and would stay again!

Junior luxury room

We upgraded from standard room to junior luxury suite and it was definitely worth it. Wonderful new room. Breakfast was amazing, staff was beyond friendly, and they organized us a taxi to Mandalay (5.5 hours) for 100K kyat (3ppl).

Good Value (budget) Hotel

We found our stay at Mingalar Inn to be very good value. Unfortunately, we had booked the "Family Room" which was in the older part of the complex, and did not come with a fridge or kettle, and was a little "dated". However, they did accommodate us and put in a fridge from one of the vacant rooms. We inspected the rooms in the new wing that were next to the pool, and they were much nicer. Although the newer rooms couldn't really accommodate our family of 4.
Apart from that, we found Mingalar Inn to be very well located. The hotel itself had a very nice swimming pool. They served an acceptable breakfast every morning, although do not provide a restaurant service for lunch or dinner.
If looking for a good value 2.5 star hotel in Nyaungshwe, I would recommend Mingalar Inn.

Great stay & breakfast and friendly staff

We chose this after stayed at the Red Canal Mandalay as we wanted to be more in the centre of things. This place is. Its clean and comfortable. The breakfast is one of the best I have had in 20 years traveling. There is enough different things going: omelet, pancakes, toast, jam, coffee and tea, juice, fresh fruit. What more do you want? Ah a little donut as you are not filled up. They organised our boat trip and bus. Friendly staff. Pool was good and clean for swim with the kids at end of the day.

Quaint place

Clean rooms. Small clean pool. Great to refresh in at end of day. Location good. Easy walk to restaurants & spa places. Staff good. Breakfast fine. Nothing to fault. Good value. One of my nicer stay at myanmar.
