Great Place!

I stayed in there 3 night for my vacation in Yangon where is closed to Chinese Town and Night Market and it is easy to catch Public Bus as well. But this is abit far from Bus Terminal and Airport. Nice value with included breakfast. See you again, 20 Street Hostel.

Cheap

I booked on this hostel on a whim. I was very sleepy from a long bus ride from Mandalay. The location is far from the bus station and airport. I didn't made it for breakfast. The sheets are warm and clean. The female dormitory doesn't smell nice. The T&B has a leaking ceiling. There's hot water but the water has no pressure. Imagine how the bidet works.
If you need a cheap hostel just to sleep in, this is it.

A damp windowless room

It was fairly cheap and the staff were friendly with good English. Breakfast is included but it's not like breakfast we've had anywhere else - items that were very sweet/salty and gummy (no idea what they were). Location was fine, close to Sule Pagoda and some good street eating places.
We ended up in a double room with no window that was damp and in all honesty pretty depressing. The bathroom facilities were fine but a bit grubby. Water was warm but with no pressure, like a dribble. Wifi was slow or didn't work.
Cheap but not really cheerful...

budget hostel

Reasonable price for this hostel, especially as its in the city with a good location. Breakfast included was ok, a lot of sweet pastries on offer which was too much for me in the morning coffee and tea supplied all day which was good. Rooms were ok, clean and tidy but smelt quite strongly at times.
Booked a taxi through the hostel, the driver took me to the airport instead of the bus station as he had been told incorrectly and then tried to charge me twice for the incorrect journey.

Nice atmosphere but that's it

Nice staff, nice atmosphere in the hall (where also breakfast is served). Rooms are well-cleaned but there is a strong smell of mould. It took more than one night (we had booked and paid 4 nights so we couldn't leave) for me to get use to it. We heard from other visitors it wasn't only our room that smelled. Also the A/C was just above the head of our bed and every once in a while it spit out balls of dust or something. It was all in our pillows and completely ruined the rest that was left of the feeling of cleanliness.. The toilets and showers (shared) were ok. Working fridge in the room was nice! Breakfast wasn't good. Only sweet things, like desserts. The toasts were closest thing to real food.
The location is quite central which was great. But I didn't like the atmosphere in China Town so it didn't work for me. We didn't choose this place when we returned to Yangon.
