Very nice.

Very beautiful rooms with absolute tranquility and seclusion. We even saw antelopes at sunset right in front of the terrace. Dinner was also very, very good. Perfect location to the airport (about 15 minutes). All in all, a very nice conclusion to our trip in Namibia.

Perfect ending to a 25 day trip

We chose this farm to spend our last 2 nights in Namibia due to its proximity (20 mins) to the airport and because it is a working farm. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and we enjoyed the peaceful verandas. The pool looked inviting, but it was too cold to swim. 3 of our group enjoyed the gym facilities and the sauna prior to a long flight home. Selma excelled herself on our last night when she prepared a chicken breast Wiener Schnitzel – the outside was light and crisp, and the chicken was moist and tender.
Willem took us on a farm sundowner tour, and we learnt a lot about his hunting dogs (look like coonhounds) with lovely eyes and temperaments, as well as the breeding of resilient cattle. They raise high quality, organic beef cattle. Watching another Namibian sunset made our last night memorable.
We would definitely stay here again.

Disappointing

We were looking forward to have a bit more luxury after 4 weeks in our rooftop tent. Progress was our last day and night before we would fly back home. Unfortunately it was a big disappointment.
First the good: the room (deluxe) was huge and very clean. Bed was good. The view from the patio was nice.
First the pick up was an hour to late, we had to call after 45 minutes wait where they were.
Not good was the way we felt, we didn’t feel very welcome for the first time in weeks. The 2 ladies weren’t unfriendly, but a bit shy maybe. They didn’t seem to like to talk to us. Just a bit awkward and strange.
We booked dinner, and were told that was at 7. By now we were the only guests. It had started to rain enormously, we were hoping someone would come over with an umbrella but no… we had to wait for the rain to stop a bit and run to the restaurant. There were our pool towels still hanging 3 meters from our table, no one had taken them away. We had dinner beside them. Dinner was okay, but also strange that the girl did not explain what we got on our plate. Although she kept asking if we needed anything several times, no real interest in us was expressed. The next morning the sky was clear again so we went to the pool for a swim at 7.00. We were clearly the first outside because in the pool were 3 drowned mice, 6 dead frogs and a dead spider. We skipped the swim… breakfast was served at 8, the dead animals were still in the pool, no one had bothered.
Breakfast was good, several options and fresh eggs.
At that time the woman who we thought was the owner (she was not we found out later) told us we had to leave the room at 10. Our transport to the airport was at 12. We hoped that we could relax the morning but she stated clearly that the room needed to be cleaned so we had to leave. I didn’t ask for late check out because I was under the impression new guests would arrive. I was very disappointed to find out later that no new guests would come and that they had the weekend off. I consider this bad customer service.
It was our last day and not a great end of our holiday. Besides that it was the by far most expensive night we had in the entire holiday.

A great place for your first or last night in Namibia

A cozy, privately run accommodation. Ideal for the first stop after arrival or the last before departure. Different types of bungalows, all equipped with attention to detail. You can see the personal commitment of the hosts. Food like family with lovingly prepared food.
