Still a classic great place to stay

I think I first stayed 25 years ago and have been back a few times as well as staying in many other hotels in Kathmandu (Aloft/Radisson/Shanker et al.). There is still something magic about this place - right in the centre of busy Thamel, and yet an oasis of calm with a wonderful garden, delightful staff and good rooms. Wouldn’t always be my first choice, depending on what I am doing and where I am going/what I want, but consistently excellent.

Beware the local nightclub!

Great location in the heart of Kathmandu with a small garden away from the street hustle and bustle. Rooms large and well-appointed.
However, a number of our group got very little sleep due to the close proximity of a local nightclub which played very loud music until early the following morning (until 6am!!). The evening buffet meal we had there was pretty tasteless, although had an excellent brownie in the hotel coffee shop and there are other places to eat.
Would not stay again because of the nightclub issue.

Nice place but room for improvement!

It is a wonderful place in the middle of Thamel (district of Kathmandu). A perfect starting point for excursions in Kathmandu and the surroundings. BUT there are some things which should be taken under consideration:
- if you have eating intolerances (e.g. Gluten...) it is quite difficult until the staff understands what you need and what you cannot eat. We had to tell them every day from scratch. Defenitiely this has room for improvements.
- The Guest House is based close to a Discothegue and they play live musik until 4AM in the morning...depending on the rooms it feels like you are in the middle of the discotheque and you cannot sleep. This discotheque /owner there is quite ruthless. So it is just important to clarify this before.

2 nights in this guest house

This guest house is right in middle of the Thamel market but when you are inside you feel out of the city hustle . but there is a school near which will make noise in morning when you get up. we booked three rooms and the food here is amazing . booking this hotel is best to get the taxi and roams all close by things and attractions.
everything was fine until we were told to pay more despite clear conversation of and the manager there was very rude ... Mr Relove ghewali needs to learn how to talk to his customers & Mr Aman shrestha too. Else everything was fine ... they need to work on their speaking skills.

酒店位置非常好，就在泰米尔中心区，出酒店就都是各种餐厅、咖啡、小店。
早餐虽然比较简单，但在当地已经算不错了。
服务人员态度很好，每个人都面带微笑。
房间记得要住在前台那栋楼上，我们前后住了大概6、7天，有阳台的，大床房，其实一个价格不一定给你安排哪个房间，貌似图片是通用的。之前给我安排的房间不满意，我到前台协商调换的。
