Best Hostel with a community

The moment I entered the hostel, I was in love with the classic wooden table in the center of the front yard surrounded by a few trees and a hangout area. I stayed in this hostel for two weeks and those were the best two weeks in Pokhara. The hostel staff are kind, helpful, and fun-loving. They made me feel like I was in a community rather than a solo traveler. They occasionally organize events like momo-cooking class and yoga. I was also able to see the whole mountain range from the rooftop.

The best hostel in Pokhara, without a doubt!

I lived in Pokhara for around 3 months and this place became my home. Even when I left to stay in other accommodations, I always came back here to the yoga classes and to hang out pretty much every day. The only reason I left was because I was working remotely and needed the quiet time and space that comes with a private room. It was hard for me to get work done when I just wanted to socialize and hang out with all the wonderful people instead lol.
Where do I even begin? The people I met here (both locals and travelers) are truly going to be in my heart forever.
This place is VERY special. The common areas, the beautiful trees and greenery, every single person who works here (Shoutout to Utsab and Pramod, who quickly became my close friends, and Dinesh, Kuldeep, and Pratna, who always took such good care of us) , the yoga classes (Given by Sheng G the best yoga teacher in Pokhara), the comfortable beds, the hot showers, everything! The energy that flows in this place is just unbeatable, please take my word for it. I spent months around this place because I just didn't have the heart to leave. I found a home in Gaurishankar, I really did.
From sunrise yoga in Sarangkot to bungee Jumping to cooking classes to day hikes, and more. I made some of the best memories of my life at this place and with the people I met here and for that, I'm eternally grateful.

The BEST place to stay in Pokhara! Friends, Peace and Love :)

What an amazing place to stay in Pokhara! Everything at Gaurishankar Backapackers is fantastic! The staff is the most kind and lovely you will ever find! The food and the coffee are just fabulous! The location is wonderful, with many shops and restaurant around, offering local, traditional food without being crowded with tourists. The 4 beds dorms are perfect size. When you go for your trekking, you can leave your luggage at the hostel, free of charge. Basically, it is a hostel for making friendship but with the strongest feeling of family. Everybody take care of everybody and people are always connecting and having a great time together.
Thank you Sagar, Pramod, Kuldeep, Deenesh, Sabitre and Sita for the wonderful week and all the lovely memories =)
