Event location The Botanic - Basecamp

I was absolutely pleased to find this beautiful characteristic space The Botanic to celebrate my 60th birthday. There are several glass walls connected to a private terrace. The guests in- and outside could enjoy the beautiful greens. It is a perfect location for all weather conditions. I am also very positive about the communication during preparation and on the party night. The fact that I could bring my own caterer of choice is also highly appreciated. It all contributed to a wonderful celebration. I highly recommend this location. Thanks again Basecamp team

We stayed at Basecamp, The Village Hideaway, for 3 nights.
The friendly and helpful staff is a positive highlight. We also really liked the green surroundings. Minor defects such as the loose toilet seat and the warped entrance door were promptly repaired after we reported them.
Unfortunately, however, there were a few points that dampened the stay. Contrary to the description, a wardrobe, a freezer compartment, and the lounge chairs in the outdoor area were missing. Upon our arrival, we first had to clean the outdoor table because it was very sticky and had hair on it.
The bathroom was also not optimal. The shower was missing a door, so you had to be very careful while showering not to flood the entire bathroom. The entrance door was warped and could only be closed properly by locking it.
The sleeper chair in the living area was also heavily soiled and had burn marks on it. Overall, the accommodation makes a significantly dated impression.
One should also know that the base camp is located directly under the flight path of Schiphol Airport. As a result, there is constant aircraft noise during the day. At night, however, it was significantly quieter, and personally, the noise did not bother us while sleeping.
With a little more care, more thorough cleaning, and better amenities, the accommodation would have significantly more potential.

Danke dir für die ausführliche Rückmeldung und das Lob fürs Team. Es tut uns leid, dass dein Aufenthalt stellenweise nicht rund war. Wir haben unser Housekeeping gebrieft, um die Sauberkeit spürbar zu stärken, und prüfen unsere Ausstattung, um den Komfort zu erhöhen. Die Punkte im Bad haben wir aufgegriffen und entsprechende Schritte gesetzt. Zum Fluglärm: Unsere Nähe zu Schiphol ist praktisch; je nach Wind variiert die Lautstärke, meist bleibt sie moderat.
Wir hoffen, dich wieder im Grünen zu begrüßen.

Very nice idea of prefabricated wooden houses. You are out of the center, in a well-liked green space (pity about the surrounding neighborhood). Every choice is taken care of in every detail to be as environmentally friendly as possible.

Highly recommended - especially for Tiny House fans

Wikkel Bear was a dreamlike stay somewhere in nowhere yet so close to the action - Amsterdam around the corner. Perfect for rest and action in alternation.
