Room was clean, staff were very helpful kitchen has all the amenities needed to cook and there is a lidl next door. Also is not too far from a bus stop which takes you to Amsterdam centraal. Would recommend

No air conditioning?!

Unfortunately, I wasn't really able to enjoy my stay due to the unbelievable heat inside the hostel. The common areas are nice, the atmosphere too, but air conditioning is terribly needed in there! In the washing rooms and toilets we had what felt like 30°C and the air moisture was way too high! Showering doesn't help at all because you're already all sweaty again a minute afterwards. So, I wouldn't recommend to visit this hostel in summer...or spring...or whenever it's more than 10°C outside.

Lousy people except one

They let their own people like Italian and Spanish and cacausians stay while the other need to leave mond you I was born in Amsterdam this is unfair treatment Turkish guy was the best he is a manager I believe but the other even a cacausian Lady was looking at me weird should fire the whole staff or have the rules set for everyone and keep a outside manager who comes to inspect the place weekly or so

The staff was super friendly and helpful! I liked that guests were encouraged to leave things they cannot take for use of other guests.
The fridge could be cleaned out more often since there was no space and it would be amazing!!! If there was some space to sit down or put down stuff in the women's shower room.
