Very nice but bit of a hassle getting to my room through a labyrinth and two different elevators being on the top floor. Very nice room and comfortable bed, and cute view over the canal.
Would recommend!

We were disappointed to receive notice two days before travelling that the pool facilities were closed, which was a main reason for picking the hotel, on arrival check in receptionist past the buck for us to see a manager next morning. The room we was given was an inner room overlooking the overgrown scruffy inner courtyard with views of metal fire escape, very disappointing as was booked as a deluxe room
General manager next morning did offer vouchers to use another hotel pool facility, as explained who wants to walk ten fifteen minutes to another hotel when the facility was to pop into the lift for a quick relaxing swim. Having explained our feelings of the room we was offered a new room with a canal view, manager did also offer some complimentary drinks but these never materialised
The room service each day was very inconsistent to the extent with one day our towels removed but no new ones left

Don’t stay here in the summer months. There is no air conditioning. Staff disagreed with me…saying they have “comfort control” in each room. All it does is barely circulate the hot air. Staff did supply me with a couple of small fans, but again just circulating hot air. We could barely sleep at all both nights!

Be advised this is a Historic building and not great for anyone with mobility issues the 8 high entry steps without hand rails could be an issue for some they were for my 80 yr old mother, also the emergency stairs inside the hotel which has only 1 very slow elevator are very steep and narrow.
I booked 2 deluxe canal view rooms but was given one room on the first floor and a second which I suspect was not a deluxe on the 3rd floor so our family was separated. We stayed only 1 night so we didn’t feel we needed to make a fuss about it but the situation should not have happened in the first place. It’s not near any of the museums so a taxi ride ($30-$50 ea way) was needed to get to many of the attractions we wanted to see but if you are wanting to be close to the train station it’s a great location. The breakfast was way to $$$ so we found many eateries within walking distance but the area is very dirty trash everywhere homeless sleeping in the alley ways and bridges.

We hade a wounderful trip with Robert, he shoved is the hotel and was very helpful, kind and funny.
