A pleasant surprise in the red light district
I am usually a very picky hotel person. When I got off the train and walked over, which was not far at all, my heart dropped on arrival at the street. However, I was so very Pleasantly surprised and thrilled when I walked thru the 24 hour locked entrance.
1st) someone is Aways at the desk which faces the door so no delay getting inside at any hour!
When I was shown to my room I was at the end on a very quiet alley that was wonderful. Great ac, very hot water, English on the TV and the bed was comfy!
Housekeeping was daily and had a card to place on the door if you choose not to have it that day and the card was respected!
2) I have not always found this to be the case with hotels so big bonus points for that and cold ac and hot water!
Breakfast was downstairs and even though no mention of it being included, it was! It was various teas and a coffee machine to pick your style of coffee. Fresh pastries that were delicious and delightful.
3) the staff kept the "dining" and food area immaculate.
On arrival I was offered a complementary alcoholic drink. I refrained as when traveling solo as a female I do not drink, but what a nice gesture after a long train ride from London!
4) short walk from the train station, boat rides and main downtown area, but quiet.
Loads of places to eat in and out of the red light district and all were yummy.
I would stay here again and I don't say that often when going to private hotels! Thank you gentleman!

Disgusting and disheveled
Absolutely disgusting, from the stained carpets to the moldy shower and the smell of cheap air freshener was enough to send me out to the streets to find another hotel. I was booked for 3 nights but only stayed for one because I didn't have a choice. If basic cleanliness is what you require this is not the place for you!
The staff were pleasant and the area is convenient but that's it.

Catastrophe
The rooms are a catastrophe.
Old, moldy, dirty doors, and sticky floors in the bathroom. Only suitable for sleeping. Not recommended.

Outstanding Value and Exceptional Hospitality
We were genuinely impressed by this hotel, especially considering the price. It offers outstanding value for money. While the hotel isn’t brand new, it is clean, comfortable, and very well maintained.
We travelled as a family of two adults and two children and booked two rooms. Everything worked out perfectly, and we were very happy with our stay.
The staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always willing to help. The 24-hour reception was a great convenience. We had the pleasure of meeting Sky, who worked during the day, and Phill, who worked the night shift. Both of them provided excellent service and made us feel truly welcome.
The location is another big advantage, as the hotel is only a five-minute walk from the central train station, making it easy to get around.
If you book this hotel, you can expect great value for your money. The warm hospitality and big-hearted service made our stay even more enjoyable. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it!
