Quiet environment and helpful staff, clean rooms. The bathroom is very small but functional. In 15 minutes on foot, you will find yourself at Dam Square, and nearby there are a couple of supermarkets for purchasing bottles of water or sandwiches, etc.
The breakfast is excellent, varied, and abundant, both sweet and savory.

The problem was charging me for an additional booking that I didn’t make ! It took three days to sort out with Expedia. The ibis hotel staff are nice and helpful. The problem with Expedia. Advice people to book directly

Very disappointed!
My husband and I have just checked into the Ibis Amsterdam Centre Stopera, and unfortunately, we are extremely disappointed with both the quality of the room and the facilities provided. To be completely honest, I already wish I could check out and receive a refund for my remaining stay, as I am genuinely upset with my decision to book this hotel.
Upon entering the room, we immediately noticed that it feels dated and has an unpleasant odor. In addition, the room lacks what I would consider basic amenities, such as tea and coffee-making facilities & decent wifi.
I spent a considerable amount of time speaking with the reception staff about obtaining a kettle. I was informed that kettles and coffee-making facilities are only available in premium rooms. However, when I checked the current rates for premium rooms, I found that they are actually lower than the rate I paid before arriving at the hotel. Despite this, my request for a complimentary upgrade so that I could access these basic amenities was declined.
The staff finally compromised & brought me a kettle!
In all my travels, I have never stayed at a hotel that charges these rates while failing to provide what I consider standard in-room amenities. This experience has been very disappointing and falls far short of my expectations.

We were robbed in YOUR hotel.
We were two couples, and the one who came with us had two backpacks stolen in the hotel breakfast area; we realized it at the moment and asked to see the cameras, but they systematically refused to let us see them. Instead, they sent us to the police station to file a report, which we did (pointlessly). We went and returned by taxi, but they didn't even take responsibility for that, claiming that they did not use taxis that worked with the hotel... DISGRACEFUL!! I would not recommend it, and I certainly would not return to that hotel!! Except for Ms. Eva and Ms. Cielo, who attended to us wonderfully, the others did absolutely nothing.
We cannot say the same about the Ibis in Bruges, which was fantastic, and the Ibis Bastille Opera in Paris... but Amsterdam Centre Stopera... disastrous.
