Hottest Room in Amsterdam. Not a place to stay in the summer months. The room is more hot than my oven. They need to get aircondition so bad!!
Had a lot of mosquito bites as Well after visit. Maybe bed bugs?
Furthermore the stairs are dangerous inside hotel.
Great placement in town.
The staff was also great.
A bar and so on next to hotel.

Worst stuff ever!

I would give 0 stars if that were an option, but unfortunately I have to give one.
My sister and I booked accommodation at this hotel in late February/early March, fully planning and looking forward to our trip to Amsterdam and our stay at ITC Hotel.
Unfortunately, at the end of March, my sister was diagnosed with acute liver failure. Her condition became critical within a very short period of time, and she underwent an emergency liver transplant on March 30, less than 36 hours after being admitted to the hospital. It was an extremely difficult and traumatic experience for her and for our entire family.
Following the transplant, her doctors clearly advised that travel was not recommended for at least the first three months due to her severely weakened immune system and the high risk of infection. As a result, we had no choice but to cancel our trip.
We contacted both Booking.com and the hotel, explained the circumstances, and offered to provide medical documentation as proof of the situation. While Booking.com showed understanding and empathy, the hotel chose not to make any exception and refused to consider a refund despite the extraordinary and life-threatening circumstances involved.
I understand that businesses have policies, and I respect that. However, there are situations where compassion and basic human understanding should outweigh rigid rules. When someone undergoes a life-saving organ transplant and is medically unable to travel, I believe a different level of consideration is warranted.
What disappointed me most was not the financial loss itself, but the complete lack of empathy shown throughout the process. This experience has left a very negative impression, and for that reason I cannot recommend this hotel.
If this is how the hotel responds in exceptional situations involving serious medical emergencies, it raises concerns about how they treat their guests in general. I sincerely hope that management will reflect on this situation and consider handling similar cases with more understanding and humanity in the future.

Horrible experience!

I would give 0 stars if there was an option, but this way obligated to give one.
My sister and I booked accomondation in this hotel in late February/March with our full plan and intention of visiting Amsterdam and staying in ITC hotel. Unfortunately, in the final days of March I was diagnosed of having an acute liver failure and based on my parameters was 2 days from dying, I underwent an urgent liver transplantation surgery in less than 36 hours of being admitted to hospital, on 30th of March.
As being advised by doctors, travels after the surgery of this tzpe are not recommended in the fitst three months post surgery due to the weekend immunity and risk of infections so we had to cancel our trip. We contacted both booking and the hotel with the request of cancelling the accomodation and refund, explaining the situation and being open to provide documents of proof.
While from the booking's side the situation waas completely understood, the hotel decided to completely ignore the difficult situation and was not open to the possibility of refunding us. I understand and respect the policies but in situations like this, were everywhere in all fields empathy is shown to the transplant patient, situtions like this and people's life the hotel's respond was really unbelievable to me and shocked me negatively.
So I completely don't recommend staying in this hotel because if they din't have any compassion and empathy to other human beings, then imagine how are they behaving in other sitautions and leading the business. Finally, I only want to add that you may be ashamed of your actions and I hope you will change your view on thinngs in the near future.

Rude staff and cramped

The staff were very rude and unhelpful. The rooms were tiny and cramped and they gave 1 towel per person. The hotel was also very noisy because it’s an old townhouse. Overall not the experience of an actual hotel.

Good if you want to DIE and get ROBBED

Couldn't imagine a worse experience. Here goes why:
1. Late at night, a NAKED couple tried to BREAK INTO my room. They were guests that were extremely drugged and out of control. The guy got violent and kept yelling, he tried to HIT my sister when she left the room. We had to insist for the receptionist to call the police. When the police had taken them out, hours later, we had to sleep feeling the smell of VOMIT in the hall. The hotel did NOT REFUND us for the night, but gave a small discount...
2. Woke up one day and discovered that a recently bought DR MARTENS BOOT WAS MISSING and a VAN GOGH POSTER. The hotel said that the person who cleaned the room threw it out, "not on purpose". We had to miss our final day at the trip to repurchase these things and they refunded us.
3. The hotel did not inform us that they were going through renovation. We had NO PRIVACY and NO VIEW. There were guys working right outside our window.
4. The room was dirty. It was obviously not cleaned because we found things that belonged to previous guests (a lighter and a ring).

Very good location
