Perfcet for families

We had an excellent four nights stay, booked two rooms overlooking the canal. Beautiful location. Supermarket, cafes, restaurants, trams nearby. The street is super quiet. We couldn't use the free airport transfer service which was a bummer. However, will be back for sure.

Excellent stay!

We had a really lovely stay. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, and they very kindly upgraded our room, which was great as we also celebrated by husband’s birthday whilst staying in Amsterdam. The room was very spacious, the kitchen area is fantastic with a microwave, hob and dishwasher! The bathroom is very large and beautifully laid out with a separate shower and massive bath! The bed is super-comfy and large, and it’s very nice to know that the hotel regularly cleans and antibacs the mattresses. The hotel is located alongside a canal, but in a quiet area so you can be guaranteed a good night’s sleep. Overall, a great stay and experience!

Quiet, comfortable, clean hotel close to all the major tourist attractions

We stayed in a Royal Penthouse Suite for most of a week in October 2024, and very much enjoyed the experience.
The location of the hotel is very nice. It's on an extremely quiet street; there is zero commercial activity on this street. Yet, it's certainly an easy walk to all the major sites. I walked to the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum, Red Light District, Anne Frank House (that one is a bit of a hike), and others from the hotel easily.
I am noise sensitive, and I can confirm that I didn't hear any noise from the room next to ours. Interestingly, from out in the hall I could hear people talking in the adjacent room, but I couldn't hear them from inside our room. That's good; I don't care about soundproofing from the hallway but it's very important to me that my room is quiet.
The room and hotel are lovely. I have to say I particularly enjoyed the tiny little bar on the ground level. On a few evenings, my partner and I got a drink from the bar late at night at the way home from the day's activities, and that was really nice. The room was spacious and clean. The penthouse rooms have large circular windows, and when I signed up for them I was a bit sad knowing they don't open and there is no balcony. But, as it turns out, there is a tiny door that opens to the outside; there is a railing immediately in front of the door so you can't step outside, but it's nice to be able to get fresh air and see outside without a window in the way. That was a nice, unexpected little touch.
Our reservation included breakfast, and it was okay. Not the most amazing hotel breakfast I've had, but it was ample and staff was nice about getting coffee, water, and other requests.
Overall this was a quiet, clean, relaxed, very pleasant stay for us. I would highly recommend this hotel.
