€754 for three night of mold, bad smell, noise and regret

The location is the only reason this hotel is still alive.
The room smelled like an abandoned locker room, the bathroom was full of mold, and the windows looked like they were growing their own ecosystem. Add nonstop noise from the side street and you have the full luxury experience.
When I complained, the staff reacted like they hear this every single day. They cleaned the room twice, but it still felt dirty. A third cleaning was promised, then conveniently forgotten before housekeeping left.
We paid 754€ for 3 nights and spent most of the trip avoiding the hotel completely.
Stay somewhere else. Literally anywhere else!

I know Amsterdam can be expensive but £440 for two nights stay is too much for what the hotel offers. Bedding was smelling bad and there was a little cabinet light in my room that couldn't be switched off. The guy in reception did try to help checking it for me, but it stayed on all night long. Locationwise is perfect.

The room was not clean. Piles of dust everywhere. The bed was the worst I’ve ever slept on - a massive dent from hundreds of other bodies having slept there in the past. My back is sore the next day. There was also a light that did not have a switch so I could not turn off, so it stayed on all night. Hotel is cheap for a reason, and I regret my stay here. Do not recommend.

Avoid!

Under no circumstances ! Book this hotel, we where given a basement room with no window stink of mold then the pictures you see are the room we where upgraded too, the hotel is dirty mold and fire alarms going off , there was dirty bed linen lying on the corridor for hours , the musty mold smell in rooms is horrible , I have a respiratory condition and it makes it worse , we checked out after a few hours and booked another hotel, I’ve never been so disgusted one my life! The front desk offered another room but after two being the same and the corridors covered with black stuff all over carpets we didn’t stay, I don’t mind staying somewhere basic but this was far from basic and clean, even the toilet brush was covered in faeces

Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian. A damage deposit of EUR 150 is required on arrival. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed within 14 days of check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full via credit card, subject to an inspection of the property. Please note that the hotel has a valet parking service. The guests' car will be picked up within 35 minutes. In order for the car to be returned, guests need to inform the receptionist 120 minutes in advance. The service is available from 09:00 hours until 20:30 hours (outside these hours the service is available on request). Please note that guests are able to park their cars in the garage. Please note that the valet parking service is available for an additional charge of EUR 45 per night. Parking spaces cannot be reserved in advance. Please note that when making a non-refundable reservation, you must show the same credit card upon check-in as was used when making the reservation. When you are not able to show the same credit card, your reservation will be refused. When booking 8 rooms or more, different policies may apply. Please note that additional guests above the maximum room occupancy will incur an additional charge of EUR 100 per night. Please note that visitors are not permitted to access the rooms. Any evidence of smoking or loss to the property caused by guests from smoking will incur a charge of minimum of EUR 250.
