Above average culinary experience - truly special

Today I was dining here with a friend - the cuisine is really above average, not to say, great class. A delicious stew of pork cheeks, as soft and flavorful as I have never eaten. The starter an M.R.IJ beef, delicious. The atmosphere in Nail is really good, a bit old-fashioned, old luxury, but not old-fashioned. And the service there is excessively good - as if one were at home. in German they say 'Geheimtipp'.

Disappointing

Did a lunch. Never seen a hot meat sandwich this bad. Thick slices of cold ham (didn't say what kind of ham) with a little peanut sauce. When I or it could be hot I was looked at strangely and pityingly. I got the sandwich back with lukewarm Ham was obviously put in the microwave for a while. And this for €14.50.
A hot meat sandwich is a sandwich with partly crispy fried casselerrib or frikandeau and satay sauce and hot!!
The woman who served seemed rather offended and surprised, very unpleasant!

Highly recommended. Above expectations (shame on you) very good lunch.

Good beyond expectations! Delicious 3 course lunch. Really much and much better than expected. The wide selection of the menu (also for lunch) is combined with a nice offer on the wine list. Ambiance is old-fashioned and therefore actually quite unique and fun, especially if you are interested in the rich past of Berg & Dal.

Good hotel, lovely restaurant and nice people in the service and at the reception.

Just a good and nice hotel.
And delicious eaten on the covered terrace, with friendly and competent staff.
Everything is clean and present in the somewhat dated hotel room.
Good location and free parking next to the hotel.
In short, highly recommended.

I would come here again...

It's great that we chose this nice hotel near Nijmegen. The hotel is in the middle of the charming little town of Beek and has a good restaurant. We were a little early to check in. No problem. A nice gentleman shows us to the room opposite the elevator. The stairs are quite steep. The room is clean and bright. The bathroom in the next room is strange, with a shower cubicle, a washbasin and a toilet. We overlook that. After 10 p.m. there is no staff in the hotel, and the elevator doesn't work either, as it leads to the restaurant. Breakfast is served in the restaurant, which I find really pleasant. You can really stay longer here, as the surrounding area (mountains and valleys!) is ideal for hiking and cycling. I only ate a sandwich in the restaurant, which was good. It is definitely well attended. I have to praise the very friendly staff.
