Expectional Stay
A B&B next to a lock which is active and often open the shutters to find a boat going through the lock in the morning
The room we stayed in was full of character and a big room at that, stunning location with a lovely seating area out the back looking over the countryside. Breakfast was expectional nice selection of meats, smoothies and fruit juices which changed daily which was nice and freshly baked bread, nice selection of coffees and other hot drinks as well as fridge with cold drinks. In the room was a book full of useful information local to the area especially restaurants and bars of which we eat at.
Amsterdam airport is about a 35-45 min drive as to getting into central Amsterdam if you choose to, we also visited the tulip experiences which we about 35 mins away as well as Kandenjlk world heritage site and de haaf castle both of which are about 40mins away. Edam was about an hour away by car. We even got to visit Vanderoot and the F1 circuit and a walk along the beach which is about 55 minutes away.
Hosts were very good and knowledgeable and nothing was an issue not that we had any problems whilst we were there.
Would we go back again, yes absolutely.
