Love This Histel!

Have stayed here before and was equally pleased the second time. Super clean, friendly, nice breakfast, and comfortable. Highly recommend you adding this to your itinerary! Loved the location with rental boats, tour boats, or foot path readily available. Was able to cook our own dinner in a well equipped kitchen area. There is also seating outside and easy parking on the premises. Will definitely be back. Thank you for your great hospitality!!

Hostel experience

Given the difficulty of finding a hotel near Giethoorn, we opted for a room with a private bathroom in a hostel.
Clean and spacious room, but without air conditioning and located on the first floor after a very steep flight of narrow stairs. The private bathroom is on the ground floor and has no key, so there is no certainty of exclusive use. Breakfast is quite varied, with scrambled eggs made to order. There are also gluten-free crackers. The dishes unfortunately smell like eggs. The guy who manages it is very kind and helpful.
Free parking, convenient location a 20-minute walk from the town. Cost for a double room with single beds of €105, including breakfast.

Worth to short staying

I think black sheep hostel maybe a cheapest accommodation in Giethoorn that i thru official website to book and seem easy full that i changed 1day earlier to ensure getting staying 1night in Giethoorn that finally check in process & dorm bed also good. Clean & nice breakfast with convenient location. Hostel itself also peaceful and having pretty garden. Staffs friendly & nice. Worth to short staying.

Bedroom of 4 with private outdoor bathroom.
Room with two small bunk beds but clean and suitable for a family.
Private outdoor bathroom comfortable and clean.
Use kitchen to prepare meals with free use of refrigerator; drinking tap water; coffee and tea always available.
Essential breakfast: bread, butter, jams, cold cuts and cheese; croissants; yogurt, cereal, fresh fruit; freshly cooked eggs; coffee, tea, milk, juices.
Beautiful outdoor area equipped with tables, chairs, hammocks, games for children.

A haven of peace

The black sheep hotel is very well located in Giethoorn, and has a garden with many amenity points (children's games, hammocks, armchairs) very pleasant in summer. In the immediate vicinity you can find boat and canoe rentals.
The welcome is discreet and cordial.
The room is quite correct, however it should be noted that shower room and toilet are not located in the room but outside (which can be a problem when you are pregnant and pee three times a night!). These are supposed to be private, but we found an Asian tourist in our shower (maybe misplaced...)
The shared kitchen (and the equipment - fridge, hob, dishes, oven - provided) allows you to prepare your meal and good times with travelers from all over the world.
Breakfast is self-service and included in the Room Award. Only downside, the Award of the room (250 euros for 6 guests) which seemed a bit high considering the services, but it is probably the Award to pay to stay in high season at the village of stroumphs!
