Best location in Harlingen with very nice and extremely attentive staff and an excellent restaurant

We stayed 6 nights at the Hotel Zeezicht in Harlingen. On arrival very friendly welcome. The room was spacious and the view of Harlingen Harbour a dream. We reserved a table in the restaurant for the evening and then pointed out my food intolerances there in the evening. The description on the homepage to ask for allergies was not empty words. They even knew very well, even when it came to contamination due to coeliac disease. In the morning the breakfast was very good, delicious and extensive. Because of my intolerances, I was asked if I had any special requests, which I would then like to get. I thought that was very nice. The dinner was great and of very good quality. Everything freshly prepared without any Convinience products, so I too had a large selection and we could enjoy fish and meat in an excellent way on the 6 days.
Conclusion: we would love to come back

Always happy

The location to the ferry port is very good. We stayed overnight because our ferry to Vlieland left early. The restaurant was good. The staff very friendly.

No hotel at the price

The location of the hotel.... couldn't get better , really great.
The hotel itself....young unfriendly staff , unless one staff member totally stands out and that's the Kevin. He makes every effort, speaks quite good German.
The rooms are old , despite heat not to open a window and the price for it is just way too high.
A note : do not pay by card beforehand. The money was double debited and I still had a lot of trouble getting it back today. Also since Kevin was on the phone again and helped me immediately , so everything is now settled. The boss doesn't worry about it, although she said on departure that I should just get in touch, then she takes care of it. Neither an e-mail , nor phone calls have done anything. Unfortunately, an employee cannot save a hotel. Kevin's totally out of place. I would really treat and recommend a different environment to him. He deserved that.

Bad.

Called. Booked. Paid for. Nice getaway with father and sons.
Upon check-in we still get a bill of €51.
Of which we were unaware.
Because everything was already paid for.
You're being put on the spot because we're from the island and no boat went back.
Later on I mailed and got in response that we should have checked on the phone if there were any extra costs.
Well we can assume when we book and then within a minute the bill is sent in the mail that all is well?!
Poor service.

The Islands / hotel Sea view Harlingen.

Stay in boutique hotel De Eilanden, which also turned out to be part of Zeezicht... (this was not made known to us beforehand.) Rooms were fine there! Nicely decorated in beautiful old building.
We only have a comment about breakfast which was then in hotel Zeezicht. Take a closer look at that team Sea View! That is certainly not worth € 19.50 pp. Fairly unimaginative and the quality could really have been better. Routing the buffet is inconvenient. You shuffle past the tables of the breakfast guests which forms a very restless whole. It's too bad.
