Fantastic hotel
This is a fantastic hotel, perfectly located right next to the park entrance, giving guests convenient VIP access. It made our visit so much easier, especially with a young child.
Check-in was incredibly smooth. Once you've downloaded the app, all of your booking details, including your digital room key, are available, allowing you to head straight to your room. Valet parking was quick and hassle-free, and our luggage was delivered to our room within 20 minutes.
We stayed in a spacious room overlooking the park entrance, which comfortably accommodated two adults and our toddler in a cot.
The staff members we interacted with were all friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay.
Although it's a little more expensive than some alternatives, we genuinely believe it's worth every penny—particularly if you're travelling with young children and want to avoid a long journey back to your hotel after a busy day in the park.
We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. A well-deserved 5 stars!

Luxury, Magic and Memories at Efteling Grand Hotel
Our stay at the Efteling Grand Hotel was nothing short of excellent. We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights, and it truly made our Efteling trip even more magical. The hotel is beautiful, spotlessly clean, and perfectly located, with a private entrance directly into Efteling Theme Park.
We stayed in a suite with a balcony overlooking the main entrance, with beautiful views of the hotel's iconic three witch-hat-shaped towers. It was the perfect spot to enjoy both the sunrise and sunset, making our stay feel extra special.
One of the things we loved most was the convenience. Check-in isn't until 3pm, but when we arrived, the hotel took care of our luggage so we could head straight into the park. By the time we returned later in the day, all of our luggage had already been delivered to our room.
The room itself was spacious, luxurious, and full of thoughtful touches. Complimentary robes and slippers were provided, although the children's slippers are designed for younger children. An iron and ironing board are available upon request. The hotel also provides complimentary bottled water, which we believe was topped up twice a day. Housekeeping regularly replenished the delicious chocolate coins, which was such a sweet touch.
The children were also delighted to receive a lovely keepsake box and an adorable stuffed frog, which made lovely souvenirs to take home and added even more magic to the experience.
Your room key is stored within the Efteling app, so make sure you download it before arrival. We found it very convenient to have everything easily accessible on our phones.
The hotel offers fantastic facilities, including a swimming pool and sauna, which were perfect for relaxing during the busiest hours of the day. There is also a lovely hotel shop, a coffee shop downstairs, and entertainment in the lobby throughout the day. I'm not sure of the exact times, but we often saw performances and activities taking place, which added to the atmosphere.
Another highlight was the breakfast, which offered an excellent selection of both hot and cold options. From freshly prepared hot dishes to pastries, fruit, cereals, and cold cuts, there was something for everyone. You can also order items from the menu, such as Eggs Benedict, which was a lovely touch.
One of the biggest benefits of staying at the Grand Hotel is being able to return to the hotel for a break and then head back into the park later. With Efteling staying open until 9pm or 10pm, there was plenty of time to enjoy all the attractions without feeling rushed.
The attention to detail, excellent service, thoughtful extras, and unbeatable location made our stay unforgettable. If you're planning a visit to Efteling, I highly recommend staying at the Efteling Grand Hotel. It was the perfect combination of luxury, convenience, and magic for the whole family. ✨❤️

A wonderful time
Very friendly staff. A magical stay for the children.
They compensated us because our son couldn't eat due to an abscess. We got the full deposit for the restaurant back on a voucher that we could use in the park!

Goedemiddag, bedankt voor je mooie review. Wat naar dat je zoontje door zijn abces niet kon eten. Fijn dat onze collega’s met jullie mee konden denken en de aanbetaling zo toch een fijne bestemming kreeg. A special stay – and an unforgettable evening at Restaurant Mystique
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Efteling Grand Hotel. For us, this visit was extra special because we celebrated our wedding day during our stay.
An absolute highlight was our evening at Restaurant Mystique. The food was excellent and the accompanying wines were also outstanding. But what made the evening truly special was the team.
Thijme, our regular waiter for the evening, took care of us incredibly attentively, kindly, and pleasantly all evening. Joep took us on the wine tasting with a lot of knowledge and enthusiasm and explained the different wines in a great way.
Besides, we would really like to specially name Lise. She was particularly kind and attentive, possessed a lot of knowledge, and at the same time could combine professional service with warmth and humor. We greatly appreciated that combination.
Actually, the service at Mystique was outstanding in every way: attentive, personal, and professional, without ever being intrusive. There was also room for a short chat or a joke – you simply felt truly welcome.
The combination of the special atmosphere of the Efteling, the Grand Hotel, and this beautiful evening has made our wedding day an experience we will remember with great pleasure for a long time.
A big thank you to the whole team – and especially to Thijme, Joep, and Lise. We would very much like to come back.

An amazing trip!
Efteling was amazing! And the Grand Hotel was perfect for our family! We stayed six nights and made it our hub for not only Efteling but also day trips to Den Bosch for the electric boat ride, Rotterdam and
Zaanse Schans for sight seeing and shopping, and Beekse Bergen for the safari and rhino boat ride.
I cannot say enough kind words about the staff of Efteling and the Grand Hotel. They helped us navigate buses, trains, and walks, even golf carting us to the bus station one day because we are so directionally challenged, writing out a list of places to see in Rotterdam, and picking up distilled water for my husband's sleeping aid. This family vacation was absolutely made successful because of the kind souls who welcomed us to the country and gave us the opportunity to learn more about their culture and history.
The restaurants on site where fabulous and offered a good variety, but Mystique was an absolute standout and offered incredible surprises with each course.
We learned so much about the social norms, forward-thinking technology and transportation, and politics of the Netherlands while there. And the amusement park rides each night were incredible and creative. It really is a park for the whole family- with thrill rides and family entertainment telling fairytale stories. My favorite was the Danse Macabre.
We are going to take a piece of the Netherlands in our hearts for years to come. And, our youngest was so excited to see the Netherlands in her ancestry.com results that arrived in our email inbox on the final day of our visit. Absolutely a magical experience!
